I have three pairs.

This year I want the Bern, but in the caramel or red that they did it in last year.

Though I've just spotted the Orleans and they could be just the thing.

Ok, so am down to Etienne or Talamore for school run (obviously torn between practical and just downright gorgeous but not very practical for a walk up a steep hill in the rain!)
Have fallen in love with Jesolo for my black pair but are they a bit ?

squeaver - are the brindisi going to be too casual for work I work in laid back charity, bit hippy-y. Had envisaged wearing them with funky dresses and cardi+ black tights.

I have some kirovs and love them - they are so comfy even though they have a heel! Got them with a discount code last year that a friend gave me.

No moopymoo - absolutely fine. I wore mine with cord and denim skirts loads last year.

Kirov nicer than Latina, imo.

I have brown Brindisi - v nice - def casual but woudl be perfect for hippy laid back.
Also Ravennas in black leather - smart - if slightly dull - classic perhaps is better word.
Only thing is - if you have fat calves and narrow feet (or is it only me who is freaky like that?) you may need insoles. I have yet to find website catering for this combination of attractive physical attributes.

Does nobody else have Malmo? I bought a dark brown pair two year ago and they've been fab. Plain enough to work for both work and casual, I think (not that my work attire is super smart, but sort of neutral, smart casual, iyswim) My first ever pair of long boots! The first time I'd ever been able to accomodate my chunky calves which are so out of proportion with my size 3 feet! Seriously, I'll never forget the delight I felt on zipping them up (all the way up!) for the first time... aaaaaaaah... I'd waited all my life for that moment

I have the florence and I love them! Would not have bought from duo if not for MN. I really want a red pair though now.

I have got...
Ravenna in brown
Malmo in black (and yes they are very comfy)
Kirov in burgundy

a couple of others that aren't current so can't remember the names - black pointy toe ones and brown suede ones with buckles.

Am very tempted by Brindisi and Pavia in brown.....

and think Toscana look awful.

I have Kirov in black suede from 2 years back- goergeous but only for dressy, very comfy.
Ravenna for daytime- bit boring and wish i hadn't.
Have sold a couple of pairs on Ebay - one was a gaucho style with buckles and strap on ankle but the heel was high even though chunky/cuban and not comfy.

Now bought Orestano which I like. I really wanted Etienne but foot was an odd fit- not right.
I wish they did more flats with chunky soles.
I am a 32cm calf so anything too chunky looks wrong.

purplepeony · 21/09/2009 22:17

Def go for fittings ladies- the fittings seem all over the place for feet. I got Oristano in a 37, even though I am a 38 or 3.5 in most other boots/shoes. Kirov and Ravenna in a 38 are fine.
