Classic girls' clothes - where??!!

Dressing my little boy in 'normal' clothes seems to have been a relatively straightforward task, but can't seem to find anything much I like for my DD aged 16 months.

So, wise MNers. Where can you buy nice straightforward clothes, that don't cost the earth??

Like pinafore dresses, bodies with collars, plain cord trousers..... basically anything which isn't bubblegum pink and covered in sequins or logos.

Thanks!!!!

Wow, thanks everyone!!!

Went shopping today and found the bodies with Peter Pan collars in Hennes (thanks dairymoo!). They only go up to 12-18 months which is a bit annoying, but got 2 anyway in pale pink and white. Will try on tomorrow.

Also went to Gap - my one has 20% off till Tues btw. Bought DD a lovely patterned navy dress, a white top with pretty collar and some sweet tights in a sort of beige colour (which will look lovely with her new red start rite shoes!)

Also - on the basis that I like little girls dresses to be shorter rather than longer - dug out some 6-12 month dresses she had last year and they still fit!! Bargain Just need new tights and bodies for some.

Will do Zara and John Lewis on Sat and have ordered catalogue from Vertbaudet.

Kent and Carey, Little White Company, JoJo - good thoughts. Have been to K&C sales before and has been fab!!

Off to check out others now.

Thanks

V annoying about the bodies only going up to 12-18mo - I agree. Although H&M sizes do run very big IMO...

I think I know which white top in Gap you mean - contemplated getting one myself - it's gorgeous and v classic.

Sure your DD will look adorable.
