Me too.

3littlefrogs · 12/08/2009 17:10

The same one I have worn for the last 4 years.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 12/08/2009 17:12

There's not many winter coats about at the moment.

I have been looking.

FlightHattendant · 12/08/2009 17:13

That one from Kew...half price, was about 100, black mac style very plain really.

Not sure why, it isn't very interesting! But feels nice iykwim. My friend has got the green.

cornsillk · 12/08/2009 17:14

linky?

FlightHattendant · 12/08/2009 17:17

here if you scroll down a bit, in green - you can't link to it though as it was summer range I think, thus being in the sale.

They still had a few left in ours last week.

FlightHattendant · 12/08/2009 17:19

Though this is lovely...

cornsillk · 12/08/2009 17:20

Is it very childish to titter at the aquascutum coat on that link?

cornsillk · 12/08/2009 17:22

oooh yes moleskin coat is lush.

pointydog · 12/08/2009 17:36

Do people get a winter coat every year?

nowwearefour · 12/08/2009 17:38

pointydog that was my question too. then i thought well maybe people are just needing to get a new one THIS year - sometimes we all will need to. mine will prob last 10 years before getting renewed though. at least....

BigGobMum · 12/08/2009 17:45

that anyone feels the need to get a new winter coat every year! Whatever for?

fartmeistergeneral · 12/08/2009 17:53

Oh no! I don't get one every year, but my last one is 3 years old, and though I love it, I just wanted to wear something different this year and splash out! The one I have at the moment, I wore every single day from October til about March!!!

I know, I had to exclaim a bit about not buying a winter coat every year (!)

PersonalClownisaShoeWhore · 12/08/2009 18:00

If I could justify buying myself a new coat, then it would be this!

ipiratethief · 12/08/2009 18:00

I might throw my parka in the machine!!

CybilLiberty · 12/08/2009 18:01

Brown funnel neck coat from Kew last year. No link I'm afraid. It's quite smart so I will get some sort of eiderdown affair for everyday.

pointydog · 12/08/2009 18:07

does the red wig come with that, clown?

PersonalClownisaShoeWhore · 12/08/2009 18:11

I hope so... I can never get my hair that colour!!

FlightHattendant · 13/08/2009 09:49

Welll....I try not to buy a new coat every year, BUT last year I got a cheapo yucky one from Additions that I thought would look great, unfortunately it has awful buttons, there are only 3 of them toggles actually and NO ZIP so it kind of hangs there, quasi open, and lets all the cold in. Crap.

So yes I bought a decent one that DOES UP this time.

I also got a very fancy one last year in a sale which is kind of a treat, only for special occasions which there are not many of. So am going to use it properly this year when it is too cold for mac.

I tend to buy something nice and useful if I see it - iyswim. and I keep all the coats...I must have a good few by now - don't just chuck them. Saying that the ones I got 10 years ago and never actually wear, but love all the same, I kid myself I'll wear them again. It's like holding onto the old me, in a way.

lambanana · 13/08/2009 21:10

last years

Kbear · 13/08/2009 21:11

we are buying winter coats already? come on, I've hardly even cracked opened the sun cream yet!!

Meglet · 13/08/2009 21:15

I have a 3 year old long duvet coat from Zara and as it's so cosy I'm going to see if they have any similar ones this year. They are a bit euro-trash but I don't care.
