UGG Boots- can someone tell me about them please?

I'm 30 weeks pg and my feet have swelled to the size of giant lumps of meat. I'm OK for the summer, as I can wear flip flops, but when the autumn comes I'll be stuffed. None of my winter shoes/ boots fits me. I was recommended Ugg boots. They look quite cute and cosy and I like the different colours.

I was wondering- what's the fit like?

Are they trendy any more? I don't really want to be very fashionable, I go for stuff that isn't going to look out of date if I use it for a few years.

Are they worth the money?

Do they last? I don't mind paying the money if they'll last for a few years.

Has anyone tried the short ones? I don't wear skinny jeans or narrow trousers, so the higher ones would need to go underneath my jeans which would look dumb, so I need the ankle boot size ones.

Any input gratefully received.

I have 3 pairs of UGGS & the first pair i bought are still looking fab & this is the 3rd yr i have had them.

Before you wear them for the 1st time spray them all over with a water repellant,i bought mine from Clarks, leave them over night & then spray again lightly.

Just buff them up now & again with a suede brush.

I love them.

the celtic ones are really expensive, £140 for the short ribbon ones I want - are they really worth it or are there cheaper ones that don't break down?

LauraFairyCake- I like the ribbons ones too- the grey ones. The longer ones, which I prefer are way out of my league- £160.

If anyone knows of any decent alternatives- I'm eager to know

Another vote for celtic, mine look almost as good as new after 2 winters and are still fluffy inside and lovely. So warm and gorgeous I don't even care if people think they were £10 down the high street or think I'm trying to be fashionable too late, I love them they almost make me want winter to come when I see them in the cupboard. From what I can tell on their website it seems that celtic were the original UGG boots before selling the name to another company.

my uggs have worn through the fleece inside at the toe. Does anyone know if these can be repaired?
