Desperately want this skirt. It's very expensive. Tell me I will look like a curtain.

eek

It's just so beautiful.

Ive no clothes, for some reason

I would wear it to death.

I am buying another dress from the sale as amazingly they still haveit and I ruined the one I bought last autumn after millions of wears, by washing too hot when ds was sick on me.

so I am tempted to chuck this into the basket at the same time

but I really can;t afford it
Is it actually more soft furnishing than glamorous?

The trouble with looking at pictures is that you can;t really tell what they'll look like on. Also I don;t know you, your size/height or your style.

If you like it, it suits you and you feel you'll get plenty of wear out of it buy it.

Personally I wouldn;t get it for me as I'm short, fat and dumpy so it wouldn't suit me, however I wish I could wear something like that!

cuntish · 06/05/2009 19:40

you'd look like a sack of spuds in it

WinkyWinkola · 06/05/2009 19:40

It's not very nice. The colours just look drab for summer and the shape is not particularly flattering.

garciasangria · 06/05/2009 19:42

Honestly, it looks like its made from upholstery fabric.

Tinker · 06/05/2009 19:45

Think you could only get away with it if very skinny, young, scoop neck long sleeve t-shirt, bare tanned legs, ballet pumps and maybe a scarf. ie if you are young, skinny and tanned you can pretty much wear anything you like

InternationalFlight · 06/05/2009 19:52

Dexter - large, I ordered a 12 and it was huge and I'm not a tiny weeny 10 normally.

Hmm not tanned but if it's for winter I might get away wiv it

Need some more skinny tops too, mine are all 3 years old and knackered. Where sells long waisted long sleeve tops?

the shop swapped it for a 10 I mean. They are all about customer service

it's what my mum would call "smart" ie not sexy or pretty, just, well, smart. agree it's curtainy. but if you love it and would wear it a lot then buy it.

georgimama · 06/05/2009 21:06

It's not very nice (honestly it isn't) but if it helps, Joules do one similar for a lot less than 99 quid.

KristinaM · 06/05/2009 22:08

i have a code for 20% off at hobbs. but you cant use it to buy that skirt

morningpaper · 06/05/2009 22:12

It's hideous

It's the sort of thing you wear flower arranging when you are 80

People comment on your similar dress because they can't help but stare and then they feel obliged to compliment you, but they are thinking "That is pure HIDEOUS"

If you want it for the winter then leave it - it might go in a sale, it might be the last thing you want in the winter, you might find it on ebay, or you might find that a local woman has just died in the very same skirt
