It may be different when you wash it again MamaG. Can you tie it back in a ponytail?

Ledodgy · 23/04/2009 13:27

southeastastra · 23/04/2009 13:27

cluelessnchaos · 23/04/2009 13:28

ok calm, how short did you go? Where did you put the ponytail? have you straightened it?

LadyOfWaffle · 23/04/2009 13:28

I just did mine - I am hoping and praying it looks better after a wash! Can you tie it back in a scruffy bun?

MamaG · 23/04/2009 13:28

its going to take more than that scarf!

OP posts:
Hassled · 23/04/2009 13:29

Can you do it again but shorter, or a lower ponytail just for the back if you're having a mullet-type ishoo?

Failing that, go crazy on the hair accessories. Bands, slides, grips, bobbles - whatever it takes to disguise the Seventies Denim Clad Rocker effect until it grows a bit.

Gorionine · 23/04/2009 13:29

What lenghth is it now MamaG? Is it possible to have it in a very short pony tail? That is what I used to do when the hairdresser somehow did not follow my "instructions".

MamaG · 23/04/2009 13:29

I put the pony at the front where my parting is

the back is quite long, still

The shortest layers are cheekbone length

i am not used to such a layred 'do

Gorionine · 23/04/2009 13:30

x posted.

MamaG · 23/04/2009 13:30

Do you think I should brave RL opinions or try to hack it again?

OP posts:
harleyd · 23/04/2009 13:30

step away from the scissors IMMEDIATELY!
pick up the phone, ring the nice lady who is trained to do all things hair related...and get there this afternoon avec hat on head

NatalieJane · 23/04/2009 13:31

MOM have been on almost constant MN leave since DS3 was born, I always missed MN, now I'm sure the break is doing me good - YOU ALL CUT YOUR OWN HAIR????????

What would Cod say? LOL

MamaG · 23/04/2009 13:31

YES its all bloody cod's fault
tje bitch

if she hadn't left she would have nipped the thread in the bud

Scootergrrrl · 23/04/2009 13:31

Wash it and put some serum on - it might just not like being all fluffy.

Hassled · 23/04/2009 13:32

If your problem is basically too long at the back, then do another ponytail just for the back. About halfway down the back of your head, but leave the front layers out. And if the shortest length is cheekbone length, you have lots of scope for slides/grips etc.

It will be fine. And if it's not, it will grow.

cluelessnchaos · 23/04/2009 13:33

It doesnt sound that bad, I think you need to straighten it and find out if other people think its crap, I feel mine is slightly too long at the back and sy shortest layer jsut hits my eye. Can you post a photo?

Gorionine · 23/04/2009 13:33

DD has got something like that (brightly coloured though) and as it is quite wide, it will probably "cover" the shorter layer at the front.
