Jenny Powell - do any of you find that veiny muscly thick-necked look desirable?

Honastly, watch her in channel 5 at 1440 (Wordplay programme, on after home and away) and today she has her hair in a side pony tail. God, she looks horrendeous all thick veins.

She also has those awful muscles across her breastbone (they look like thick ridges) I mean PUKE.

That picture looks nothing like her on daytime TV where she looks basically like a very very muscly man with a dress on, and a women's head. (as she was talking, veins as thick as fingers were sticking out of her neck and it did make me feel physically sick)

I have previously always thought she was lovely looking, but if someone ever said I looked like her now, I would be very very upset.

OK, am intrigued now, am going to watch Channel 5 this lunchtime and report back Jewels

yappybluedog · 22/04/2009 15:03

i saw it! she looked fine, but not pregnant

her arms are FAB

Amandoh · 22/04/2009 15:09

Yes I just caught the end of the programme and thought her arms looked great too.

Lizzylou · 22/04/2009 15:21

I saw it too, thought she looked good, her face looked a tad gaunt, not keen on her hairstyle or the fake grin
But really, not hideous or unattractive in the least.

yappybluedog · 22/04/2009 15:31

the lighting is very harsh

she's not very sincere is she?

Jewelsandgems · 23/04/2009 07:54

Well OMG I cannot believe you missed all the veins, and ridges on the chest!

I am sorry girls, but me, my friends and family thinks she looks awful. [a few of these friends go to bodypump and say that Jenny's look is disturbing - as in totally unnatural]

MrsDanversAteMyIpod · 23/04/2009 08:12

Can sort of see what you mean on this pic

minko · 23/04/2009 18:09

But no, she doesn't look like that at all on the telly. I'm with you Jewels, can't believe everyone thinks she looks OK!

Her grin is so massive and her eyes so far apart it's scarey!

noddyholder · 23/04/2009 18:15

You have an unhealthy interest in her physical appearance if you are checking in with friends family and an online forum about her neck veins! She looks fine

pagwatch · 23/04/2009 18:23

at jewelsandgems.
What kind of place do you live/life do you lead that "so many people" have approached you today and struck up a conversation by commenting on Jenny Powells body tone

I met some friends for coffee. went to the shops, had several phone conversations and then spent an hour at the hairdressers. Nothing. I am still not sure who she is.

[is it me emoticon]

noddyholder · 23/04/2009 18:24

i thought it was me! Had a long convo about cats keeping the whole street up last night with their antics maybe I am odd

FranSanDisco · 25/04/2009 16:44

Yes I agree - how dare she age so badly as to offend the viewers

Amandoh · 25/04/2009 17:38

To be fair to Jenny she can hardly help how far apart her eyes are!

zee123 · 06/05/2009 14:03

On Jenny Powell....You are all so stupid & sick and bored house wives - SELFISH ones at that. Have any of you once thought that the poor woman may have something unpleasant happen to her. I can tell you personally she has a lovely baby girl 6 months ago and her husband is an arse hole - big time !!!! She has not worked out for 6 months - No body building !!! the woman has lost weight because she has been upset because of what has happened hence maybe some veins on show. She also has some african in her so lucky for her has some muscle's. Probably you lot have scoffed your way through pregnancy and ended up with lard arses !!! The veins are not intentional and she is trying to put some weight on. She is just starting to pick herself up and does not need to read all your sick & JEALOUS comments !!! - get a life ! She is a lovely FAB person and she is STUNNING !!!! JEALOUS SAD'os the lot of you

Lulumama · 06/05/2009 15:32

nice of you to join to tell the world your friends husband is an arsehole. i'm sure she'll thank you for that

but agree some of the comments were really harsh and OTT ,but several were complimentary too

Amandoh · 06/05/2009 16:29

Zee123 ~ Most of the comments on this thread weren't offensive.

Lots of us remember her being on tv when we were younger and it's only natural to make comparisons about how she looks now and how she looked then. She appears on television and is therefore in the public limelight and she must expect comments about her appearance from time to time and be prepared that not all of it will be complementary.

To be honest with you I'd be very surprised if she has seen this thread and think it would have been better if you'd kept quiet and not raised it up the message board. Like Lulamama said, it's unlikely she'll thank you for airing your views on her husband to a bunch of "Stupid, sick and bored housewives".

For what it's worth I think she looks great considering she had a baby just six months ago and I'd kill for her arms!

empathy1 · 22/05/2009 13:20

All those people who are bad mouthing that poor woman (Jenny Powell) on her appearance should probably go and stand in their mirror and have a really good look at themselves!!! If any of you look as good as that woman looks then I would loved to see your pictures. She is 41, and looks in her twenties. I for one would like to stand up and give her a pat on the back for being a inspiration for women of any age. She looks amazing and has the most wonderful sense of humour which is still there considering what she has been through in her personal life. I will not comment any further on her personal life as I do not know anything apart from what has been said in the Newspapers and on the internet, but she is looking fantastic!!! I saw her briefly over 25 years ago at the Italia Conti Stage school and she said hello and spoke to me. She was not famous then but she was very friendly considering she did not know me and we were just passing each other. I have followed her career since then and have always looked up to her because she like me is of a different race and she unlike me has been able to relate to people from all different races. It is not easy as one can be put in a box and perceived negatively when you are of a race that is looked down on.
I am 41 also and never had children but I have always wanted a little girl. It is soo strange that her daughter is called Pollyanna, as I have always wanted my baby girl to be called that. Anyway, I think her friend is right. You people have too much time on your hands to be putting a beautiful woman like that down about her looks when you know that you would loved to look like her. "GET A LIFE!"

Fimbo · 22/05/2009 13:25

Back again Zee are you?

pagwatch · 22/05/2009 13:39

I LOVE that Zee keeps resurrecting this old thread so that every one gets a fresh look at it.
It has ducked out of active convos twice now and the half a dozen people who saw it had forgotten all about it - but Zee keeps coming back and making sure that lots of new people see it.

Do you think Zee really really hates Jenny Powell?
She could just keep bumping it and saving all the trouble of that closely typed ranting...

Finally at 'get a life' from weird jenny powell stalker woman .

I [heart] this thread now

empathy1 · 23/05/2009 16:35

So I am weird stalker because feel the need to reply to cruel and hurtful comments that was said about someone who can not defend herself because she is in the public eye. Listen arse hole I am not a stalker and have never ever went out of my way to find out things about her.

I was shocked when I read the Sunday Mirror article about her. I then googled her as I did not believe it. Anyway, I should not have to explain myself to you. Just leave the woman alone and probably go and join weight watchers, maybe you will feel much better about yourself.

Lulumama · 23/05/2009 16:38

I am sure she could defend herself, I am pretty sure Ms Powell has access to the internet. just because she is in the public eye, does not mean she has to remain silent.

i am sure, that like most slebs who geta bit of a slating, it comes as no surprise, that not eveeryone likes you.. if you are in teh media spotlight, i think you have to accept some personal and hurtful criticism. does not make it right, but it happens.

i thikn she looks just fine.

Joggler · 23/05/2009 17:02

I agree with lulu.
Mind you I do think we women are our own worst enemies

dirtygertiefromnumber30 · 23/05/2009 17:11

I cant stop laughing at 'Listen arsehole, im not a stalker'

Tinker · 23/05/2009 17:14

Me neither
