I'm wondering who my MN style twins are.

Off Kilter/Slightly Odd

Hello OBM, good work on the G20 thread!

sagacious · 01/04/2009 16:25

Bit dull
Far too reliant on jeans and v neck jumpers

Occasional flashes of old trendy self then back to meh

Nice coats (I have an obsession) and shoes/boots though

NorbertDentressangle · 01/04/2009 16:32

It used to be "quirky" (to put it mildly )in my younger days.

Now I would say its eclectic - combinations of clothes from charity shops, independent shops and High Street (eg. White Stuff, H&M, Fat Face but NOT Next, hate the place), some with a slight hippy/boho edge, some plain simple basics like jeans, jewellery (particularly necklaces) play an important part.

Idranktheeasterspirits · 01/04/2009 16:37

things like the short capped sleeve dress from here for work.

Out of work tends to be an odd mixture of things that will cover my thighs and reduce the size of my matronly bosoms.

Love different jewellery and have just discovered scarfs.

PestoChocolateMonster · 01/04/2009 16:39

erratic

belcantwait · 01/04/2009 16:41

posh hippy/eclectic/vintagey

or often 'just fallen into the wardrobe and fallen out again with all my clothes on togather'

Ronaldinhio · 01/04/2009 16:41

Up my own arse

EasterEggsintheSky · 01/04/2009 16:41

George @ Asda

GentleOtter · 01/04/2009 16:42

Frumpy, shapeless, shit-stained. And that is on a good day.

sleepsforwimps · 01/04/2009 16:43

NorbertDentressangle wow you could have been talking about me there, sounds like you have fantastic taste.

probably too young, elastane reliant

random · 01/04/2009 16:51

mutton dressed as lamb

JustCallMeGoat · 01/04/2009 16:51

my thin wardrobe is vintage/fabulous

my current wardrobe is tatty/refusing to go to the shops and buy bigger clothes therefore i will wear the same 3 t shirts and crappy trews until they fall off me.

janeite · 01/04/2009 16:52

Ooh we had a thread like this ebfore; I think it's a fascinating topic!

In younger days - mad Goth fused with hippy fused with a beatnik

On the last thread we had I described my current style as something along the lines of Kirsty Walker fused with Goth Mini Mouse with mostly black clothes.
I quite like a bit of a Japanese vibe at times too.

Mostly though, I am way too over reliant on bootleg jeans or wide legged trousers.

I like a sort of gothed up 1950s look too.

janeite · 01/04/2009 16:53

ebfore - I appear to be developing a very bad case of typing dyslexia. Tis a worry.

beanieb · 01/04/2009 16:54

Primark

Trinityrhino · 01/04/2009 16:54

non fashion, whatever I like

stripey tights
skirts over leggings
army combats
vest tops

PlumpChocEggyBaps · 01/04/2009 17:04

Trying.

In both senses of the word.

wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 17:10

Bit too reliant on jeans/cords/trainers.

MayorNaze · 01/04/2009 17:12

further to my earlier post - probably fearne cotton casual combined with that bird josie lawrence plays in eastenders...

southeast · 01/04/2009 17:13

haute couture

Ewe · 01/04/2009 17:16

I live in dresses, sometimes over jeans, often black but well accessorised. Shifts, tea dresses, tunics etc. Also love high waisted skirts. All worn with black opaque tights and very high heels!

andlipsticktoo · 01/04/2009 17:20

All styles thrown together in a confused eclectic mix

except goth!

NorbertDentressangle · 01/04/2009 17:35

sleepsforwimps - the reality may be that actually I look like something the cats dragged in (to coin a phrase used by now deceased Scottish Granny) whereas you have probably mastered the eclectic look perfectly
