But don't you have to wash foundation brushes every time you use them? I'm sure you get better results but it does sound like a hassle

mrsravi · 22/03/2009 20:55

Slattern alert; I don't wash my foundation brush every time....

boots intelligent colour very natural and not expensive

another vote fot Boots intelligent colour - very soft, light and blends really well. colour match is also good -you don't get that awful tide mark effect that you often see with heavier ones, also doesn't look all caked on

I have a foundation brush from boots- about £7 I think and it has a small brush at the other end for concealer. It gives a lovely finish - definitely money well spent, but for day-to-day use it's quite time consuming. I tend to use it for evenings or when I'm feeling particularly haggard :-)

How about one of the compact foundations? I have a clinique one which just slaps on with a sponge (included in the compact) and is very user-friendly and quick. with liquid foundation it can be quite easy to overdo it, whereas you've got more control with the compact ones.

Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral Foundation is amazing!!!
Best I've ever used - looks natural, goes on smoothly, good coverage but not heavy at all.
It's not expensive - about £6.99 when I bought it (but think it was on special intro offer) - perhaps now about £8.
I was using an SKll 'airbrush' foundation before, at a ridiculous price of about £85 (I know, absolutely mental to spend that amount on a foundation - I have now come to my senses). And I can honestly say that the Maybelline one is better...

Maybelline Rewind - cheap, light coverage, can wack it on without looking caked in crap.

the clinique moisture one in a tube - i got it for my wedding and it's amazing for dry skin. tube also means easy to apply with fingers, you can just squeeze out the right amount
