Ok, firstly, I'm on a huge budget so it definitely needs to be under £50 and quite honestly, the cheaper the better, it isn't going to get a lot of wear.

Secondly, I'm a size 18 sometimes heading to a 20. Huge of nork and with chunky thighs (paint a lovely picture don't i?!)I also hate my upper arms so some coverage would be nice.

Thirdly, I'd quite like it to be slightly quirky (not tie dye and flounces though you understand!) as I don't want to be a carbon copy of everybody else.

Is this impossible? I've searched the other threads and couldn't find what I wanted. Had a look at the more obvious websites too. You are my last hope, if not then I may have to go in a bin bag accessorised with a sparkly belt.

Ok, here goes, first of a few to see which direction to go in:

wallis black dress

Heated · 03/11/2008 19:41

wallis pink dress worn with shrug, pashmina etc

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoulo · 03/11/2008 19:42

It's beautiful but possibly too short for my chunky legs! Hadn't thought of looking at wallis though.

Beehive one is gorgeous but I'd have to wear a halter neck bra due to big norks, don't have one unfortunately!
Pink one winning so far

jeweltrim

Heated · 03/11/2008 20:08

maxi dress in red or black but just over cost limit

Nbg · 03/11/2008 20:10

Additions covers arms, v-neck so good for norks and flares out so will cover your thighs.
Oasis one at additions but the 18 and 20 have sold out. Would a 16 work?
Uttam

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoulo · 03/11/2008 20:11

2fedup - that monsoon one is beautiful.
I'd never heard of marisota before today, looks like there's some great stuff on there!

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoulo · 03/11/2008 20:13

Ooo NBG, additions one is lovely, how did I miss that? Would probably go up rather than down !
Uttam dress is gorgeous and a bit different, wonder if I could get away with it being shorter than my usual?

OP posts:
Nbg · 03/11/2008 20:16

If its a bit shorter than your used to or you wouldn't feel comfortable with it on its own, get some really good thick tights or even leggings depending on what shoes your wearing.

twinsetandpearls · 03/11/2008 20:18

Does it need to be below the knee/long?
