What to wear to uber trendy gig tonight?

The main objective is to look effortlessly stylish.

The outfit must work with my coat du jour. A gun metal grey pea cot with massive turquoise and gold buttons (so nice)

I'm thinking jeans to balance the bling of the coat, but , meh.

Hard to describe the dress, but it is very stylish, if not outright trendy and cost a fecking fortune, always gets compliments.

You need a fabulous top for underneath the fabulous coat if the fabulous coat is going into a cloakroom.

I've decided. Racing green long sleeved jumper dress, mid thigh. Black tights, black patent mary janes (ballet flats will be in handbag) fab coat.

Oh god it was awful. Well half of it was. The first gig was great, then my friend left so I went to meet other friend and was stood up (still not heard from her,hmm)

So then I got to the club and they wouldn't let me in as they were too full. Cue wails of 'but I'm on the guestlist' ' I'm with the band' he he, 'my friends are inside' I had to wait for farking half an hour and missed most of my friends set.

And as I waited outside in the rain they let through several groups of farking trendy 15 ear old peaches geldof wannabes cos they were are giggly and flirted with the bouncers.

After that it was fun though.

The uniform was skinny jeans , massive checked shirts worn as dress with chunky belt and leggings. so many leggings. Oh and assymetrical fringes.

Oh and I think alexa chung and arctic monkeys boy were there, so trendy dontcha know.

I think I'm getting too old for this malarky.
