I'm over three quarter length sleeves and while you're at it could you please also tell them I hate hoodies.

tell them that funnel necks and double-breasted coats look like hell on most women, too.

And winter shorts are horrid unless you are 14 years old.

And don't keep your best stuff for the out of town store, M and S

Fimbo · 24/09/2008 17:31

And stop doing lovely little print dresses that look just darling on the hanger - until you turn them round and they're backless (yes, I mean you, bird-print frock at Kate Moss for Topshop)

And could someone please tell the colour blind Per Una designers to go easy on the crochet and embroidery, please.

And what's with the Per Una matching scarf/matching necklace routine? Only blokes shop for like this. Or have I missed the point, is Per Una a cross dressers' paradise?

Can you please make some small boy tops that are not hoodies?

that some women have breasts

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 25/09/2008 12:35

i like bracelet sleeves tho

thebecster · 25/09/2008 12:36

And some women have bums, and thighs.

And 'vanity sizing' is just confusing. Just all use the same flippin' sizes please.

Seasider · 25/09/2008 12:40

And we don't want kids over 8 to have to start dressing like tarts or thugs...

And don't send clothes to mags for them to advertise as the must have 'X' of the season if it is unavailable for months or only available in one store in London...

witchandchips · 25/09/2008 12:44

Boys look good in something other than sludge colours

VickyPea · 25/09/2008 12:52

Tell them that usually, ladies with large feet are tall, so we don't want 6 inch heels to make us look even more like the Jolly Green Giant !! (Im 5.11 and a size 9, I know that may seem huge but at least I won't fall over)

GloriaMumble · 25/09/2008 12:56

Vickypea, where are you finding heels in a size 9???? I would LOVE to wear heels but I can never find a great choice (Faith being a notable exception).

All I can ever find in the high street are flat shoes in big sizes (LTS, Evans, Dolcis, Barrats - all mostly flat as an absolute pancake)

witchandchips · 25/09/2008 12:57

don't encourage children in shoe shops to choose a shoe before you have checked that they have their size in stock

Cadelaide · 25/09/2008 12:58

i see they're fake layering for men now

Cadelaide · 25/09/2008 12:59

....i mean like a smartish-collared-shirt-under-a-vneck kind of look

Buda · 25/09/2008 13:01

And us larger ladies want to look fashionable and not as if we are 65 years old. And Evans - even in these non-smoking in pubs era we don't want to be afraid to get too near a lit cigarette - less shiny nylon please. Larger ladies tend to want to cover their upper arms too.

VickyPea · 25/09/2008 13:05

GM, I was in Next the other day and the shop was full of high heels and if you get their catalogue they go up to a 9. I popped next door into Brantano and they had heels in there too. Perhaps I should go Evans and Dolcis as I am trying to find some flatties.

MrsMigginsPieShop · 25/09/2008 13:09

Five foot four inches is roughly the average height of women in this country, so leg lengths should reflect this: I'm not 'petite' thanks, I'm average.

Jewelsandgems · 25/09/2008 13:26

Along the same line mrsmiggins that advertising jeans as 'long leg' should not constitute a leg length of just 32 inches [sometimes less!] - my leg length is 34 inches and most 'long leg' jeans just about touch the floor on me when in bare feet and look very silly with any kind of heeled shoe.
