What do we think of Benefit make up?

I have just bought a 'Dallas' bronzer for £22.50!!!

But I love it.

I love all their stuff. I hang around the counter touching it and coveting it.

Is it just good packagning and marketing, or do yu think the products are good?

It is nice. I only buy makeup once a year (usually! I might get tempted...!) but when I do, I choose carefully!

used2bthin · 07/09/2008 21:57

I buy it twice a year, birthday and christmas with my vouchers! Although mascara is bought more often because of the endless quest.

Wilkiepedia · 07/09/2008 21:58

Personally think it is too greasy and heavy. It brought me out in spots so I steer clear.

cheekysealion · 07/09/2008 22:02

i use boing

and 10 which is bronzer and shimmer...on my cheeks and love it

would like to try dallas... is it a good bronzer? i like decent colour!!!

Bubble99 · 07/09/2008 22:03

I like their zit cover stuff.

southeastastra · 07/09/2008 22:04

lemonaid is good for red eyes boing is good

cheesesarnie · 07/09/2008 22:33

oooh 10 looks good

Umlellala · 08/09/2008 05:15

Oh, and the Foundation Faker is excellent even for my pale skin (and highly adorable packaging) but I have truly fallen for mineral foundation now

I like Dandelion, and even though it's quite expensive, it lasts over a year using it every day.

I don't like the Bad Gal Lash - Max Factor Masterpiece is my favourite.

I have the Realness of Concealness kit with mini products in and even that has lasted a long time - it has Lemon Aid and Boing in (would get the Lemon Aid, the concealer's a bit dark for me), High Beam (love) and two other things I don't use.

Lauriefairycake, I had half my face done in Dandelion (is that the pink one?) and half in Bluff Dust (the yellow one) and the Dandelion side looked awful but I now use Bluff Dust whenever I don't use tinted moisturiser (Laura Mercier). You might give it a go! Not many people seem to use it but it really works for me.

I also like That Gal which is a primer but I wear on its own sometime. It's pink but doesn't make me look weird. And I like Ooh La Lift and their body stuff too.

I don't like the mascara (got Bad Gal Blue) - the colour is ok but it runs. I live in Blinc Kiss Me, the tubey one, though. Never got on with Lemon Aid either but I have sensitive flakey eyes.

suzywong · 08/09/2008 08:01

Love it

some kind a gorgeous is marvelous - it gives enough cover to smarten you up and not enough to make you look like you've got slap on. I used it with Dandelion.

Agree with everyone who says it lasts ages, it does.

Buy it online from the states based website, far cheaper.

NomDePlume · 08/09/2008 08:09

I've got this. V good. The packaging is gorgeous.

Never tried the mascara, I use (and LOVE) Dior Diorshow mascara.

JanieF · 10/09/2008 05:45

I also love Benetint. I've been pretty well satisfied with everything I've bought from Benefit. If they still make Ooh La Lift, it is a treasure for when your eyes look tired and saggy.

katierocket · 10/09/2008 06:38

love it, fantstic stuff

CostaRicanCod · 10/09/2008 07:27

pakcaging great
stuff itself - ok ish
you cna do a lot better tbh

CostaRicanCod · 10/09/2008 07:28

adn the colour range in say eyeshadow is pretty poor.
i was given a high beam the otherone of that ilk and variosu unctions...give me mac anyday.

JJ · 10/09/2008 16:28

I use my Benefit stuff in lieu of proper make-up. The stuff I have is pretty foolproof and quick and easy to apply. It takes me from looking like a particularly grim zombie to looking human rather than zombie to all made up.

JRocks · 10/09/2008 18:08

I love it - apart from the mascaras, I'm a Lancome Hypnose girl for that. I have far too much to list, as I may have a fit at how much it's all cost me

I do like Mac though, it's just that there isn't a counter anywhere near me, and I like to gaze at all the pretty colours before I buy something!. Mac habit increased rather rapidly when someone linked to this girl

charitygirl · 10/09/2008 18:23

Would never buy coloured stuff from there (eyeshadow, lippies etc, and the mascara is rubbish - must try Diorshow, so many good reviews) but the skin/base stuff is good - new Erase Paste is working out v well, also F.Y.Eye or LemonAid as eyeshadow base.

Dandelion is good, but I prefer Georgia (same thing but peach not pink - lovely on blondes i think)

CountessDracula · 10/09/2008 18:24

I love benetint for lips and cheeks
and their concealer is good

JJ · 11/09/2008 10:03

This is a stupid question but...

can I use Benetint over a powder (like Bluff Dust) or should I use it under (but then won't the powder over it up)?

I have this image of getting a goopy glop of powder and Benetint on my face. I once mixed together some hair styling stuff with conditioner and got this weird rubbery mess - somehow I only noticed once I had put it through my hair. Blergh.
