Hello everyone, old and new.

This is about feeling better about yourself and looking and feeling better etc. But mainly we chat and laugh quite a lot, which has all got to help towards happiness etc.

The rules (anyone can join):

  • Sunscreen at all times - REALLY mean this now summer is here.
  • No or little booze. Wine or Champagne or whatever at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Some people are doing India and Neris's Idiot Proof Diet (Atkins, more or less), others are doing Slimy World, others are just being as healthy as possible.

Welcome everyone, have a good week.
Apologies for belated new thread.

For t/shell

a) FACE
Estee Lauder Daywear for Dry Skin (SPF 15) in the morning
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair at night
Estee Lauder Revelation Age Resisting creme - at night and especially around eyes.
Lipsyl lip balm morning & night.

b) HANDS
Dove (both night and daytime versions in several strategic locations around the house).

c) FEET
Flexitol

I also use Crabtree & Evelyn Cocoa Butter, Nutmeg & Cardomom body butter on everything else including hands and feet. It's particularly effective on my hands (which given my outdoorsyness means it must be brilliant).

Quick hello to WWW and everyone.

My bootcamping has gone a bit haywire as I've spent the entire school holidays with a mixture of summer colds and tummy bugs - in fact all of us have had tummy bugs. Nothing has quite made me take to my bed for more than the odd day, but generally I am feeling 'not quite right'

So I have only been swimming sporadically, though I did manage lots of lido swimming in the first (hot-ish) week of the school hols. And dare I say it, but ds2 has had his supersoakers out a few times.

Our Camper van is very poorly (again!). Its repairs this year alone could end up costing us more than the price of a nice family holiday abroad (sob!). But dh has told me how much he loves it.

Sobernow, my dh is a pest control person so if you want me to ask him anything about fleas, let me know.

Thanks OG - will try some of those!

yesterday - as above, but tea was low fat tomato and basil soup. Quite how tomato and basil soup could be high fat I don't know, but anyway it was very nice and very low cal - 75 cals in a bowl.

Today; lunch was roast chicken, so I had some meat, but no skin, no roast potatoes (even though I made some - virtuous emoticon), lots of veg - broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, mange-tout, runner beans, NO chocolate cake that I got for dh and our guest, and then a pumkin and sesame seed oatcake, as was feeling a bit faint! Probably won't have much for tea - maybe some fruit.
