i wear lots of dresses and hate my legs so often wear 'nude' tights. I find M&S ones quite good. I think we are similar colouring zips - mine are called something like 'nearly nude' and are one step up from the bog standard pack - come in pack of 2 pairs for about £5.

I keep bog standard ones in the car 'emergancies' and they are okay.

Tesco one up from bog standard okay too.

NOT GLOSSY!!!!

no to hold ups - esp. if skirt tight as can give weird dent apperance in upper thigh.

If it was me would travel without tights - nip into loo in service station and pop them on.

zippitippitoes · 31/07/2008 11:16

i am so neurotic i have booked a hotel so not far to drive to the interview

Eh, dent?

flowerybeanbag · 31/07/2008 11:20

Not hold-ups, you'll be panicking they're starting to roll down.

Agree definitely not black tights, will look all wrong this time of year. Natural if thin and right colour are fine. For charity retail online and mail order you don't need to look trendy, just smart. What you're wearing sounds absolutely fine.

Good luck!

zippitippitoes · 31/07/2008 11:22

ok i shall go to marks it is only round the corner

i am going rather far out of my comofrt zone in every respect here

thank you fro the good wishes

Oh yes, good luck! (on the job)

BBBee · 31/07/2008 11:25

have not worn hold ups for a while and if you have ultra toned thighs am sure doesn't happen but I had a fited dress with lycra that was a bit clingy and where the holds ups were with the elasticy bit you could kind see the thigh go in IYSWIM.

This was abouyt 5yrs ago thoguh.

womblingalong · 31/07/2008 11:26

Matte, Natural 10 denier - def for interiew, M&S, JL or Aristoc all good options IMO.

Outfit sounds just right, and you are going to do fine. Think positive & good luck.

ranting · 31/07/2008 11:27

They have improved a bit since then BBee, I think, definitely don't get dents.

BBBee · 31/07/2008 11:28

maybe you just have very toned thighs!

ranting · 31/07/2008 11:29
