DP work do, so casual but no reason to not look fab anyway.

I was thinking of this skirt I have (pic on profile), it's pink with a few white flowers. I have worn it with a white top before, but might need something new (any thoughts?)

ALso (and mainly) SHOES.

I usually wear it with flat white sandals but I'd rather heels or wedges maybe? Any thoughts my lovelies?

Or possibly a completely new outfit but cheap and that I can wear lots over the summer.

Pretty wide remit there then

tia

Love this dress at the moment and would get it if I was a slim thing like you .

Like the White Stuff skirt as well - would look good with white t shirt type top and flip flops or low wedges or get the other colour and go with a black top and shoes. Primark worth a look for big belts (if you're not boycotting..)

lilolilmanchester · 06/07/2008 19:37

yes, jeans are great for informal BBQs. Slur, can you get DP to find out what his female colleagues are wearing? Jeans would be dead easy for you to just pair with a sexy top - but embarrassing if everyone else is dressed more formally

Thanks all, fantsatic stuff!

cod I am thinking the white stuff skirt is my fave, with belt and white vest and cardi and wedges. Like the new look one (floral print) but not as much as the white stuff one. Can't be doing long patchwork one, think it'd be too long on me.

ggg ta very much, I will be heading down to matalan methinks, need some flat sandals and belts too. lots of help thank you

Now then though I think I'll get that rather lovely skirt from White stuff. Actually you have all persuaded me to go with jeans option.

soooooooooooooo.

New look for skinny jeans, but I'm not sure of that colour, it's not a colour I usually go for, am quite pale despite blardy holiday skin and blond... I really like the price though!!!!

Any ideas on one of these so-called 'nice' tops of which you all speaketh?

And what kind of fab shoes would you wear with skinny jeans and nice top?

Skinny jeans are well out of my remit unfortunately but some "nice" (imho) tops here:-

pretty

colours a bit dull maybe ?

with black skinnies ?

too dressy ? and should be out on the basis of their spelling ...

S1ur · 06/07/2008 21:46

Cheers Tilly.

First one I'd want to try on to check if it had been bulldogged in pic, looks like it might not be as shaped as it seems..

second - I really like, bugger, possibly I am dull

third - ooh I really like too. tough call.

Dress top I think would do me no favours those shape make me feel fat

I like the second one as well - saw it in rl today and its very pretty

S1ur · 06/07/2008 21:52

Oh Tilly I have been stalking you a bit on your big wedding thread, and saw your new dress - f a b u l o u s!

How are things going?

OP posts:
TillyScoutsmum · 06/07/2008 22:02

Thanks Much more "bridey" than I was thinking of originally but that boned corset thing just worked magic on my flab figure

Its all going well - need to get the girls' dresses sorted but trying to leave it as late as possible because dd just keeps on growing at a crazy rate. DP is currently away on his pre stag stag do (WTF ?!) so I'm boring myself looking at jewellery/shoes etc for me. Luckily I bookmarked some of the ones from your search
