Ski gloves for long fingers

Help…want to buy DD some inexpensive ski gloves for uni ski trip but has slim hands with long fingers. Standard gloves rarely fit.
any tips? Brands?
gloves vs mittens?
we have never been so clueless.
also any other not too expensive items for Xmas list

I can’t advise specifically but I suspect mittens are the way to go, I’ve worn them for years and find them much less cumbersome on smaller hands (albeit my fingers are not long)
