I wasn't so lucky with my Selfridges fragrance set! 🥹

All my delieverys are here. My CB GWP, SNK gwp, and my Sephora Rhode xmas sets (which i said i wouldnt get🤪) Tomorrow afternoon, im going to have a sit down and sort it all out and get prepped for the influx of advent products🙈
Also, i got £10 SNK credit in regards to SNK delivery issues. So thats getting used towards the BF haul😁

The cracker was really carefully done, each fragrance in a box, the boxes tessellated together well for the space, the group of them wrapped in tissue paper and then the cardboard cracker was a tight fit around the wrapped group. Well done, JL!

That's shocking @Allthingsbeautyuk why don't Selfridges learn? It's not like this has never happened before.

I've not bought one of these scent wardrobes from them yet and the packaging puts me off.

Now dreading Tuesday when they are due to be delivered 😭

My daughters have Rhode on their Christmas lists - is there any discounts available on them? Everything I've tried at Sephora excludes Rhode!

The Boots chat finally responded to me after 4 hours!! unsurprisingly I didnt' see the window then. FFS.

Pale, sensitive! Sometimes a bit dry but generally in fairly good nick. I do think it’s the thinness - little surface area and lots of contact point. I reapplied just over 2.5 hrs ago, left it on for at least 3-4 mins. And it’s still nearly all gone again!

I’m resigned to it now. And I’ve given it a good go!

It’s the same with lip ink and all lipsticks.

Copilot seems to be suggesting I try a maybelline but I can’t be bothered to chuck more money away on stuff that doesn’t work...

Boots customer service is shocking. I had a leaky shower gel last week that emptied all over everything else and ruined it. After trying the online chat and phone I've taken it to Resolver. I'm about to escalate as Boots have ignored it

it just adds insult to injury that they don't reply for 4h but close the chat after an hour of you not replying tio them!

I'm also in dispute with Boots over an unsealed (and unscrewed) mascara they posted. Their CS email said I should go to a store to try resolve it (even though it was bought online). I will try.

The sets I’ve seen are a lip gloss and pocket blush and work out a bit cheaper than buying the items separately.

I was in Sephora today and it was insanely busy. They’d cordoned off around Rhode so only a limited number of people could look at it at any given time, despite it being excluded from the sale.

I was looking for a sparkly gloss. I liked the consistency of the Sarah Creal but it wasn’t sparkly enough. I think I’m going to order a Half Magic one instead.

@Allthingsbeautyuk oh no 😔 hopefully they'll send you another set 🤞🏻 I really don't get why they don't use better packaging. Mine were all clinking together too @IDontHateRainbows I was expecting some to be smashed and some to stolen with the box being opened and taped back together. I definitely was not expecting it all to be there and ok.

I think Rhode is always excluded from sales and discounts. As a PP said, the sets make it a little cheaper than buying seperate!

I’m considering one of the Liberty edits if they are still 10% off. I did some sensible spending at 8am on Look Fantastic when the discount was 25% on products I use regularly, but I could do with a little treat after this week. I’m having a weird mental block with the Liberty edits/kits coming in a bag. I really like the bags, some of the prints are really gorgeous, but I’m swimming in them. I’m not really inventive in using them either.
What a silly ‘problem’ to have.

Debenhams have a BF preview but to me it is exactly the same as their up to 20% off beauty plus 5% with a code. However, I have noticed a stupidly large amount of sponsored items coming up which is rather frustrating. It’s the reason why I stopped using Pinterest.

I know what you mean. I've sold a few Liberty bags recently including the one that came with the kit last week. I've just kept a couple of my favourite patterns. A person only needs so many bags.

Speaking of Liberty I just cancelled my beauty drop. I may go back at some point but decided I needed a break. I spent all my BD credit in store the other week but I only get to the Liberty store a couple of times a year at most. I don't find it that easy to find things I want on the website but I love shopping in the store.

I'll have a loyalty voucher coming soon but once the BD runs out in November I won't have the discount on edits or free postage so that will focus my mind as to whether I really want an edit they release.

Maybe if I take a break for a while I'll enjoy it more if I do pick it up again. Watch the next box be an amazing one or next year's advent be spectacular when it's the first year I don't save for it. 😂

it is going back for a refund as they don't offer replacements! I was offered a £10 refund if I kept it!!! what a joke!

I am definitely not chancing unboxed fragrances again. The packaging is just not snug enough to hold the bottles properly.

I was gutted as the box with all the soaked in fragrance smelt amazing 😆

I did a return for the whole set, only 1 bottle was smashed but they had bits of glass stuck to some of the others so it was a complete mess 🥲

The first volume they did was fab as they were all boxed but the second vol &. this set plus the advent too, I just don't understand the thought process behind the packaging 🤔

Probably costs 😒 although it's a completely false economy if there are so many returns and complaints

£10 when 40% of it was ruined?? That's mad!
