Welcome to Thread 13 and happy unboxing to all who sail (sale??) in her as we swap tips, tricks, frustrations and joys of the BAC/FAC journey.

Not too long until Black Friday discounts so keep your fingers crossed and some room on your credit card Xmas Grin

Key link for all the calendars via the very lovely MaryBD of the calendars https://beauty-detective.com/category/beauty-advent-calendars/

Though lots of ACs are out of stock already, so beware (and extra double beware of anything Selfridges Fragrance related!!)

Its enshittification. The world is becoming enshittified as companies cut corners employ minimal staff and AI the fk out of everything.

Feels like SNK has been acquired by another company does anyone know if that is thd case? They used to be quite reliable with the exception of sale time

Ulta acquired SNK in 2025

I did't know! Does that mean... holds breath ... that I can SPEND Clubcard vouchers on SNK and CB?

...no, from a quick check. Dang, I'd already mentally ordered another two BAC Grin

I'm selling riviere and cora if you are interested

Yep interested, also considering HNFAC now, where I instantly dismissed it when it was released.

Did everyone but me know that you can get club card points from Tesco partners like space nk and cult beauty??

https://secure.tesco.com/clubcard/browse/collect/health-beauty?_gl=11b6o5jq_upMQ.._gaMzI2NTMzNTkxLjE3OTIxNzc5OTg._ga_H653QXESTP*czE3OTIxNzc5OTckbzEkZzAkdDE3OTIxNzgwMTEkajQ2JGwwJGgxNTMwMDgwMjg3

@FOBIthefearobeingincluded I saw your post here about the FAC. Don't cancel your order! Whoever cancels takes a hit on their account even if eBay doesn't say so.

Let the reseller take the hit on their account or give up and ship it to you. Your money might be tied up while they stall and attempt to drag it out, but that's their fault.

If they do send the FAC, I advise getting someone to video you while you open it and inspect every single drawer. Someone like that might retaliate by scamming you.

Thank you.
The seller has now cancelled the sale but “at the buyers request” so unable to leave feedback. I hope they enjoy the extra £13 hahaha. I’m such a petty polly!
I did go to Selfridges on the off chance, no more stock is expected but they didn’t rule out another online drop…

Thanks for the new thread @SheilaFentiman 💐

Thanks for the new thread @SheilaFentiman
I think I’m done. Famous last words and I still haven’t ordered F&M.and I would really like a CB discount. I can’t believe the stupid delivery charge is putting me off F&M. Maybe once I’m back in the uk I will be less bothered and I may even be able to find the card they sent me for free delivery. Ok so it’s clear I’m really not done, I’m just dithering, F&M I I’ll be on its way before the week is out (it’s already sitting pretty in my basket).

@SheilaFentiman thanks for the new thread. And I feel that you deserve a medal for services to S&B for sharing the clubcard news!!!! I knew they had launched loads of new partnerships but it hadn’t occurred to me to check for beauty suppliers - brilliant!

Thelifeofawife · Yesterday 23:09

@SheilaFentiman That's great regarding Tesco clubcard, I always forget about it now that I don’t get vouchers through the post and when I finally checked online I had £100 in vouchers. I’ll have to get on to it properly

Received my JL FAC today, I love it! Thanks to the poster who mentioned it was briefly back in stock, it's more than made up for my SFAC woes and it was a lot cheaper at £99! 😊

Yes thank you so much to whoever mentioned it. I got mine today as well as an ASOS one. I’m excited to try out most of them and the few I’m not so keen on I can hopefully sell on Vinted.
