oh that is interesting, I wonder if the ones in store were all originally held on request for personal shoppers who then get a bit longer to decide if they are going to complete their purchase,

When I do that, the GWP doesn't show in my basket. Not that I should buy another BAC anyway but I was just curious. I used your link to the GWP page, clicked Shop Now, as you say the BAC was the first thing, but no GWP.

I’m desperately hoping the Harrods Home calendar comes back , but just noticed JL has a candles advent calendar for £99 if anyone was still looking for something similar

My Shiseido BAC has arrived, and to be fair, it's very nice. I really like the packaging.The GWP and samples also arrived, and they look good, but the bag is indeed a beast! I've immediately unpacked the BAC and decanted it all into the bag, so its got a useful job.

Also had a fairly substantial Dr Hauschka haul delivered (there's an extra full size GWP in there - the night serum, so £90+ GWP value if anyone's interested), and a couple of boxes of slightly less exciting self-care, so I'm feeling that odd combination of happiness, feeling lucky, and a huge dose of guilt for wasting so much money on little pots and bottles of skincare stuff. It's just because 4 huge boxes all arrived together I think.

It'll wear off, I'm ordering the Liberty BAC next, if I don't get my head turned by the new curated kits

Thanks for the heads up about the JL one. They did so well with BAC this year, I think they could maybe have done better with this. I'd rather pay twice as much and get a slightly higher-end selection.

That said, I think they might make lovely sub-£100 gifts.

That page on discounts for BACs is like crack, I was scrolling through it earlier and my eyes were getting bigger and bigger! I’m not sure how I resisted!

So confusing cos it says 'shop now' on site!

I have been hounding Selfridges live chat for over an hour now asking for my refund for a Selfridges advent calendar which says it has left the building but Dpd claims to have not received it. Its been 5 days I have been asking for a refund. The customer service lady today said she does not know UK laws and will not refund me the money until DPD responds and returns the parcel. I do not understand this. Why is my refund held if DPD has or does not have their parcel.

This is such poor customer service. I will never order anything from selfridges again. I would rather pay more on ebay where I can complain and get a refund than selfridges who are a joke. I have now sent a formal email asking for my money back in 48 hours or chargeback it is. However its a struggle as she used so many payment cards to try get the calendar we don't know which one really worked and the email doesnt show the card details.

its all just so much hassle. I was busy on a boring work call for a couple of hours today so hounded the customer service live chat by posting them uk consumer law and asking questions and manager details and why are they not refunding. Will they never refund, seems like DPD also does not want to engage with them. Does Selfridges need the money so badly! Just non stop nonsense as I was so angry for them wasting my time.

This was for a friend who has a new born baby and just got back from the hospital. We were meant to share the fragrances but I am just hoping we get a refund.

@Botanique blast I could of got to her ask. I’m paying for an uber home tonight for her so she doesn’t have to lug it home on the tube, but sometimes she walks past Harrods on her way home and I’ll ask her to pop in and ask next time you never know. Also slightly nervous she may get mugged for it 😂

i know in the big scheme of things it’s not the most important thing in the world but it’s bringing me such joy and saving me tons of money next year, that’s what im telling myself anyway!

I cannot believe how awful Selfridges have been! such a big name with (I thought) a great reputation.. and yet you are all having to fight for your rights / refunds. Its shocking. But yay to @nickybear and her daughter!

Want to acknowledge the brilliant service I got from Revolve, I ordered the 12 day advent and box 7 arrived empty. I contacted them yesterday and today have had confirmation a replacement is on its way to me.

Fingers crossed 🤞 my replacement SFAC is at London Docklands and due to be delivered tomorrow.
