The advice I have read a lot is to spend money on the base. At the moment I am wearing Aldi tinted moisturiser for my base that cost less than £5 if I remember right.

Great name @SoapCollector ! Admittedly I like a nice soap - triple milled stuff from Toasted Crumpet or National Trust shops, or if I run out I use Pears, but otherwise nothing special.

Thanks @PauliesWalnuts my username is a true description of me, I love trying and collecting different soaps. 😁

My skin care routine is soap and water - and coconut oil. Anything else I’m a huge rashy mess. I’m 52 and get told I look younger all the time (probably bollox).

@seanconneryseyebrow is there a brand of coconut oil that you have found to be better than others? All the coconut oils I've used so far seem to be very similar.

Op @Britpopbaby just thought of a couple of other things I don't do - eyebrows! I'm very fair don't do eyelashes either!

I never file or paint my nails, just cut them as needed.

I haven’t washed my face for 40 years. My skin would be bright red and sore with soap and water.
I use cleanser, toner and moisturiser every morning.

Cleanse and moisturise and use a bb cream. That's about it. Rarely spend more than £10 on a product.

I will not embrace my grey hair. Tried it, doesn't suit my skin tone at all. Box dye forever.
I dont always take off my make up at night and it doesnt seem to harm my skin
