My teeth are really yellow

I am mid fifties and my teeth are really yellow. I brush twice a day but I think I have probably worn the enamel as I’ve used too much whitening toothpaste

I can’t afford whitening treatment at the dentist. I’m going out on Saturday with a group of very glamorous women. Is there anything I can do between now and then to make them a bit whiter?

Not really - you'll have to get them professionally dealt with to avoid damaging them further, and then cut out red wine, coffee, smoking etc to try and preserve it. But just go and enjoy yourself! Your friends don't care about your teeth.

Do you see the hygienist?
Mine did an intensive clean and they are now sparkling

It’s a normal process as we age, you probably have not done anything wrong. If your teeth have not been snow white to start with (they rarely are) then the colour will deepen over the years.

Have a look at Crest products, they have to be ordered online. It’s an American brand and the amount of hydrogen peroxide in them is much higher than in any European teeth whitening products. I use stripes once a year and a Crest toothpaste once a day to keep the results. My teeth are by no means pearl white, I would not want that as it looks quite fake but they are several shades whiter since I started using Crest.

I buy mine from iherb but Im not in the UK.

Do not do this as the reason you cannot buy these products in the U.K. , EU , Australia etc is that , for reasons of safety, they are illegal. Anyone supplying them to the U.K. is knowingly breaking the law , and the chances of having a counterfeit product is high as there is no legal way to obtain product for export to U.K. Many of the products have a concentration of hydrogen peroxide that even a dentist is not allowed to use .

If you already have damaged the enamel then using these products will damage the enamel further and possibly be very sensitive .

The right colour lipstick will make your teeth look whiter then ask dentist , next time you go , if anything can safely be done.
