LVL lash lift HORROR

I just got this done (lash lift & tint) as I have pale browny eyelashes and read that this can make you look like you have mascara on without the effort. Lazybones over here thought that sounded great; I'm sick of feeling like a frump and putting make up on everyday is a bit of a faff.

Anyway - the colour is fine (I used to tint my own lashes at home anyway till they discontinued the good stuff) but the lift looks INSANE, and not in a good way. Like... lashes at a 45 degree angle, sticking straight upwards, and now sort of tucked away into the creases of my eyelids 😂

It's a laugh or cry situation and I know it's daft, because of course they'll grow out, but I'm going to a thing tomorrow and I was hoping this would make me feel pretty again but now I just feel like I want to wear sunglasses for the next month and hope nobody asks about it.

If you're considering it... don't.

Anyone have any tips on how to lessen the effects sooner? Google says it'll take 6 weeks to grow out. Pity me. Je suis foolish. And odd looking.

They can’t fix them if you’ve wet them! Why didn’t you check them properly and contact straight away. Did you use any after care on them? You should be using a lash serum all the time. I get mine done and they last 8 weeks. I have a highly skilled tech I chose carefully

I checked close up as soon as I got home because they felt weird and contacted them immediately! Also nobody at the salon said anything about wetting them (or not wetting them). They have told me to come back in to see what they can do.

Sounds like they’ve used the wrong size eye shield or got the perming solution times wrong.
I get mine done every 12 weeks. Sometimes they take better than others (might be to do with where the lashes are in their growth cycle), but I’ve never had the issue you have. Hopefully, the salon can do something to fix it.

Its a game changer for me but then my natural lashes point slightly downward.

Getting them wet won't make a difference. We use a perming solution for the curl and it doesn't drop out with water.

You can get them relaxed and ideally you want to go to the same person as they know what chemicals were used and for how long. Otherwise go to someone that specialises in relaxing and be sure to tell them it was an LVL lift so they know what to use.

Until then, moisturise like crazy with a nourishing oil ideally a keratin lash lift aftercare product. If you are a face or side sleeper use a lash guard as the lashes are soft so could easily get crushed or bent if slept on.

Also lash lift is one of the trickiest, most unpredictable treatments to perform so its quite common to get different results from the same practitioner.
