Having a de-clutter. I have several pairs of trousers, all quite similar. How do you organise these so you can find them? Any other tips welcome!

Mine is in sections - jumpers, smart long sleeve, smart short sleeve or sleeveless, shirts, skirts, trousers

Same. I hang dresses, coats and blouses, but I have individual shelves for jeans, tshirts, jumpers, good trousers, casual trousers, etc.

I put holiday and summer clothes into large storage boxes, and put my winter clothes in when I take out my summer clothes

Obviously it’s very hard to do if you don’t have storage space

Thank you - yes I don't have much room so hard to find a way to store trousers

Most of mine is on the floor. I have a 3 bedroom house to myself so T shirts are in one cupboard, trousers in another cupboard and everything else is on a 6 foot rail.
Im turning the small 3rd bedroom into a walk in wardrobe with fitted cupboards because Im sick of looking at clothes and shoes everywhere and can never decide what to wear.

My wardrobes are organised in sections by item type, absolutely nothing is folded. My drawers are used for underwear only.

I did read on MumsNet that some people are putting together outfits on 1 hanger. I might actually try that for a few days and see how it works out.

I hang my trousers in the wardrobe, upside down from the hem, so the thinnest part of the item is at the top. I have a cupboard for knitwear. Drawers are for underwear, exercise things, pj's. My chest of drawers is quite small, outweigh I would happily store jeans and cords there. Op, as you have so many of a similar item, it's helpful to see them all hanging next to one another as it could stop you buying me of the same until a replacement is needed? This is helping me. I decided earlier this year that I didn't have enough denim, so bought loads. I now have lots of wonderful things and need the reminder that I don't need more!

If I had the wardrobe space, I would hang everything, I think it makes it much easier to see what you have.
Don’t have quite enough hanging space, so jeans are on a shelf ( separate shelf for blue jeans and black ones) but trousers are hung in the wardrobe.
Under layers ( camis, leggings, nightwear) as well as underwear and exercise gear all go in drawers.
Would love a walk-in wardrobe but DH has nabbed the spare box room to use as a studio.

I got rid of most of my things a few years ago. I have summer and winter wardrobe so half is always packed away. Before repacking I get rid of stuff that I’ve not worn. and as I unpack this years autumn winter wardrobe I will also remove anything that is looking worn or too tight. Then make a list of what else I need for the season.

I hang clothes in my wardrobe one section tops one section bottoms. Then in the middle if I’m being really organised I hang several outfits so the top with bottoms and so on so that I mix and match it all as much as possible. A lot of my clothes are quite old nowadays so I make the most of what I have.

I also have an iron and small ironing board in the wardrobe as tight on storage in my house so as I unpack or if I see something I’d creased can be put in a basket to be ironed.

I have a odd walk through wardrobe, bedroom to ensuite.
Top rail, tops by season, back rail jumpers, lower rail trousers. I don't wear skirts/dresses.
Drawers for underwear / vests/ tshirts/ long sleeve tops and joggers.
Its tidy and to hand. And no chair of doom.
