I just ordered these as a very frivolous and unnecessary purchase (compared to my others, which are serious grown up purchases, obviously 🙄). I’m still looking for a replacement of Lush’s Yog nog, they changed the scent slightly and it’s not as good. I thought this was a nice offer and got 10% off with WHIPPEDIT10.

😳😳🤔 why have I not looked at the revolve calendars yet ?! I don’t think I knew they existed and now I want both !! Does Fall 20 work on both of them ? It’s wanting all my details to find out . Is it a US site / customs fees ?

No custom fees, you go right to payment screen to then input the promo code. I selected the DHL option but once I put the code it, there was a charge for DHL so I went back and selected royal mail. And yes, the code works on both 😊

Wasn't the value of the Foreo disputed - I'm sure it was available at other retailers at a much cheaper price. Not that £108 isn't great for the Foreo and everything else but we do like to analyse!

I had a quick look at Vinted and someone is selling a new one for £12.50. It was in JL advent too. I've got one and don't use it at all.

Meanwhile, I need some new foundation. I was using Clinique Beyond Perfection but found it too oily. I’ve gone back to EL Double wear - original formula- which has been my favourite for years, but the bottle I opened today smells a bit ‘off’. It’s in date and looks ok, but I am unsure about continuing to use it.

I haven’t heard anything good about the new DW formula.

Has anyone on here found a good alternative for the original EL DW? It’s an expensive mistake to make if I choose poorly.

I haven't found an alternative for the old double wear but I have tried the new double wear quite a few times now. I had to get matched again as the shades are really different but I now don't actually mind the new formula. If you get matched at a counter they should give you a sample bottle which has quite a few uses and the person told me just to keep coming back to try other shades if needed. It is definitely more runny, but means you can do 2 layers if needed for even fuller coverage and it blends a bit better. But it may need a bit of powder on top although I haven't really found it an issue. I did write it off at first but after a few goes I did end up buying a new full size bottle, it may not be for you but it could be worth a try. Otherwise I use erborian bb cream which I think gives a good matte finish without making the skin look dry, although isn't necessarily a full coverage foundation.

Thanks @LondonToSurrey2024 - I don’t use powder and the runniness of the new DW, (I can’t bear watery foundation), puts me off but I will try to get a sample. I was supposed to be getting one via JL Rewards but they had run out of DW samples on the counter and then I forgot to go back 🙈

I am basically looking for something with the same consistency as the old DW, which may not be possible.

I’m sorry I have forgotten who recommended Connicks candles but Debanhams has them with discount CODE Beauty I got it for 25 pounds instead of 38 .

I like the Barbara Sturm serum in the 25 day one but I wasn't fussed about anything else. For me, the 12 day one has more that I'd use, although I'm not actually planning to keep much of it 🤭

Also at @IlovePond Boots have GWP woth 452 pounds with Estée Lauder if you spend 92 pounds and code BEAUTY20 works . I’m not sure how you can stack these ? But you also get 10 pounds worth of points on the foundation .

It costs £92 on top if you spend £50 total on EL, I think. The same special offer is available at other EL sellers if eg you have sparks vouchers to spend
