Shoes for plantar fasciitis sufferers that aren't trainers or very ugly. I've looked at Sole Bliss Vionics, etc and feel a bit miserable about what is on offer.

My chiropodist recommended fitflops and sketchers and since buying shoes and sandals by those makers my feet have not had any trouble. It used to be so sore I couldn't walk when it flared up.

In winter, I lived in some beautiful Fitflop chealsea boots. They got loads of compliments. But they don't make them any more :( Their current ankle boots are fugly imo.

Apart from that: Skechers. Hated and laughed at but they are unbelievabley comfortable if you suffer PF.

To heal it: flipflops with little massage buds on the soles. I bought mine from Surf at Amazon - dirt cheap. I think fancier makes do soemthing similar. But Surf's flipflops cured by PF, and if it ever flares again, I wear them and it vanishes in a couple of days.

In winter, at home, sheepskin slippers. If you like Ugg boots or the cheaper versions they are also good.

For officewear or evening wear, M&S footglove wedge sandals or court shoes used to be great. Not sure if they still do them.
