Doc Martens 2976 Chelsea boots, how wide are the ankles? I have wide ankles, not fat, they have just never had any shape. I love the look of the Chelsea boots and have seen a second hand pair, hence not being able to try on and then return.

Hi, I’m the same and found the dms difficult to get on without a zip. I’ve bought a pair of Gabor black Chelsea boots with a zip from next and they are perfect. I so wanted the dms but sadly they weren’t meant to be.

Thank you for the reply, I was guessing it might be the case. Even in my teen years when I was riding I could only wear the jodphur (Chelsea) boots which had a strap and buckle, not the elastic ones 😢
