I really like this top but don’t really go anywhere that dressy so need to make it more casual. I am rubbish at styling things in general and have no clue how to accessorise.

Could somebody help style this for me so it would be suitable for a night in a nice pub, as an example, please.

I am also in my 50s and a size 14. I’m very much in the if you like it wear it camp, but if I am too old for it then I’ll hear it!

Wow, it's gorgeous! I think you could wear that with anything but I would probably go with jeans or cords and a back velvet jacket or a black thin wool cardigan.

I am 55 and I'd wear it.

Thank you! I hadn’t considered cords, I’ll order some and see how it looks. Would you have it tucked in or out with jeans?

Lovely! I am in my 50s too and size 14, also short. For work I would wear that with barrel trousers and a heeled boot (low heel) or interesting jeans - maybe blue or washed black to make it a little more casual.
For a different look, a bubble hem skirt or denim skirt, or if you are going somewhere fancy a satin slip skirt.
I may also wear under a black sleeveless top as a vintage corset style outfit, with a denim or biker jacket. If you are feeling a bit gothic go all out with a tulle long skirt and elaborate up to.

Oh that is lovely. For a gig I would probably wear it with jeans and doc Martin boots. It would work with something like Levi's 725 boot cuts in a dark wash, or the Levi's super baggy barrels jeans.
Or, you could easily dress it up with a long satin skirt or a midi fake leather skirt and knee high boots. It is quite versatile I think. I am 52.

Thank you everyone, I’m glad that you all (so far) think it’s nice!

I’ve always worn blue straight leg jeans, I’ll order some different styles and see how I get on.
