For 350 im glad im dissapointed. I dont need a gazillion overpirced candles and expected more from them. Or at least a cheaper advent. Pfew

Dont know what happened there , my resolve lasted 2 mins and have ordered it as a gift . He will love it .

I really like it but would prefer to spend my money elsewhere. I already have a load of candles and haven't yet used the ones I got last year. The box is really nice.

This leads me on to say... Happy 1st October and 12 weeks until Christmas Eve 🥳 that means I'm starting my 1st advent calendar with a 12 week Christmas countdown using the Harrods fragrance calendar 💃🏻 I'm very excited today 🩷

re the home BAC , i like the calendar but at £350 at this stage …i feel it’s a no which is a shame ….

Yeah, I didn't get to use my fragrances from last year's HFAC that much and I felt that I was constantly onto the next fragrance without having time to properly try each one out. I'm hoping this is a better way to open and test the fragrances. It's first time I'm doing it like this, but I'm excited 😆

I'm the same re Harrods, it's lovely but I showed my husband it and he was like it's basically burning £350 🤣 it's not needed as I already have a load and it's so expensive. Maybe next year or if it gets reduced. The box is stunning though and there's some decent sized candles in there, that huge nest one sounds perfect for Christmas time 🥰 but no, not needed, not buying 🤣 *sits on hands

Wowsers! You've gone mad on the fragrance-y ones, but I love it 😀 I hope you're going to get a few snaps of them all together. The Harrods HF and Penhaligon's are both on my list to pick up if they go in the sale. My focus is the Selfridges FAC, for which we still don't have a confirmed price for 🤪

Harrods Home Fragrance out. I’m not spending £350.

There are a few things I’d like in m and s, don’t know if can be bothered to put rest on vinted though.
HHF - I thought I’d want - bit not for £350.

@JoRaRaRa I love fragrance and home fragrance and the Harrods is a gift . I can try lots of products that I’d never think to buy aswell . They’ll certainly give me all I need for next year for sure .

I like the M&S box but I think I will stick with my Boots and my 7 cosmetics

The actual box looks a better design than last year. I bought the M&S one last year as a last minute 'extra'. They had layered boxes on top of boxes and I found I had to rummage to find the right one each day.

I expected a lot more variety in the Harrods Home one. Not the majority stacked with candles. And i do like candles, but they have a limited time before the smell goes non existant/ weak and my home isnt that big.

What I did expect was a lush looking handwash and handbalm combination in a nice container for the kitchen, 3 or 4 candles, a roomspray, fragrance sticks, a pillow/linnen spray and some fancy laundry detergent to go with it, some scented tablets/paperstrips/sachets. Was hoping for a bodyspray or a mini perfume to go along with the Home fragrance for a cheaper pricepoint. No more than 270.

Dont get me wrong. Its good value for money but I really need to love a couple of items in there to spend such an amount.

Ugh I wasn't expecting the Harrods Home to be £350. I like the look of it but as others have said it's a lot of candles to get through. Up to £250 would definitely have bought it. The value is there - that large Nest candle is around £200 but I dunno, I'm conflicted.

Off topic but I really like the Space NK Christmas gift sets. I’m thinking of buying the Ultimate skincare one and adding it to my advent calendar.

The scents in the HHFAC are too much leather and tobacco for me. I was hoping for more citrus and woodsy. Combine that with the room sprays and car diffuser and it just wasn't a match.

Whom should I contact about being added to the Facebook group? As I'm not purchasing the HHFAC, I may pick up some personal fragrance items.

I agree, I went through and priced it and it definitely exceeds 1k but so do the beauty calendar's and they are at a better price point . Don’t get me wrong I want it , really do especially the Trudon as they really do throw well . But I Want the Selfridges more cannot do both and for me that is a better value even at 300 ( hoping it’s 250)

I think this is a great edit and have picked up two as want to try the Skin Rocks Support oil as the seasons change and my skin struggles

yes i had last years HFAC and didn’t get to use it really …thats changed recently following my ‘sniff trip ‘ to selfridges , harrods , and liberty …and chat gbps help with layering perfume …Im now hooked and lurking on the perfumistas thread …so shall open day 1 of the calendar today 😊

I purchased the Harrods home fragrance advent calendar due to being unable to travel (health) which scuppered my planned work trip to Cork, so I didn’t end up buying the Brown Thomas. I was bitterly disappointed so this one is my consolation prize. I’m looking forward to try brands outside of my usual Diptyque diffusers and candles.

OK October 1st. How are the bank balances looking? . Considering I was wondering if I was going to buy any this year I have spent an insane amount (which I will not be adding up)
Harrods FAC a given always on my list
Harrods BAC decided it was too good value to miss as use a few of the products already and excited for this will be my main advent
Cult Beauty not even on my radar swept away by the 20% code working on release , actually better than I thought on receiving but will probably still gift/resell most of it not counting this
Elle advent really excited for might save for my birthday in june
Boots Skin care did not need this but too cheap to say no to with 20% off and other codes think it was £50 probably will gift a lot and put into stash
Spacenk should have bought this didnt now spending probably more on Vinted getting the bits I want
John Lewis Fragrance undecided about this. I like it is mostly 10ml as this is my perfect try out size . Already own a few so will sell those but really didn’t need the rest shouldn’t have bought but don’t really regret

still considering Selfridges FAC but gone off the boil on this for reasons above and stalking TikTok for a Glossy box deal which I will buy if I can get the right price ..
But no more that has to be it . I have filled the garage up with cardboard delivery boxes

I like the Harold’s HF however I have soo many candles etc. I think I will get a large diptique candle instead, which I’ve been wanting for years.

It’s the first of October today so I’m going to start one of my advent calendars. Decisions, decisions.
