Face wash for allergies/hives/sensitivity

I have very sensitive skin with allergies, mild asthma and skin reactions to dust, pollen, SLS and perfumes etc.

I tried what turned out to be a heavily scented cleansing balm and broke out in spots and then stupidly used a bit of shower gel on my face (made for face/body/hair) which has given me hives. I get itchy red patches around my eye socket and the top of my cheekbones and sore patches appear on my upper arm. Hives always appear this way on me.

I'm only washing with water and I'm waiting for it to calm down. I'm looking for a face wash to use going forward. In my 40's and don't know which range to use. I hear good things about the French brands.

Aqueous cream.
Aveeno.
Baby 'top to toe' wash.

My skin is reactive too but much calmer if I take a daily antihistamine.

I've heard good things too about Avene and MooGoo.

Great suggestions thank you.

Already take a daily antihistamine for dust allergy.

I’m the same. I literally use Epimax Excetra cream as a face wash/shower cream. My GP said it was worse just using water as there’s nothing to lock the moisture in. I got it prescribed but it’s cheaper on Amazon x

I have super sensitive skin and I use -
Clinique take the day off balm and cream
Body shop camomile balm
CeraVe hydration wash or oil

Not all at once obviously 😂
