Why is everything cropped?!

Is it just me? I keep seeing things in H&M, Zara, etc that I like but everything is cropped. I can’t do cropped, I can’t do belly out and I can’t do high trousers as I look like Simon Cowell. I get that it’s fashionable but it’s driving me crazy, I have been looking for a certain type of high neck top and don’t want a body but they’re always cut to just above the hip so they ride up. It’s so annoying, I keep seeing things I think I like but then they’re cut short. Same for things I buy on Vinted, even when I ask if it’s cropped before buying, it is always a bit risky. Surely there is a bigger percentage of people who don’t want cropped than do?

They will stop feeling superior when they look back at pictures in 30 years and think “What the hell was I wearing?” 😂

My DDs are 34 and 31. They wear waist length tops that don’t expose anything. They sit above trousers and skirts and look neat. I think too short and exposing your tummy isn’t very flattering for many of us. I’m obviously much older and I now always check the length of tops and knitwear on the M&S web site. Many better retailers will tell you the length of garments. I look for 55 cm
plus. Preferably 58-60 cm.

I have the opposite problem, tops too long, I've had to shorten them to fit on, or just below the waist, I'm 66 petite no longer shop at H&M or zara, well i haven't for the last 2 years, mark and spencer next, or I do have a couple of vest tops from mint velvet but they are the ones that comes up longer.
