Is there such a thing as a practical heeled ankle boot?

I’m not very good at finding what I want (or maybe it doesn’t exist…)

I am after a pair of black non-suede ankle boots with good grip and a heel of maybe 2 inches - not much more anyway. I want to wear them to work with dresses so not too baggy around the leg would be good

i have a pair from asos that are perfect except they are suede and they don’t do a non suede version and I’m not sure they are particularly robust

Anyone seen any that might fit the bill. Budget up to around £150

any help gratefully received!!

I am currently looking for something similar. I love Blundstone boots but I think they are too chunky for work.

Well the Duo ones were exactly what I had in mind but as I can’t justify the postage/returns I’m going to get the Clarks ones

thank you everyone!!

You might find some Stuart Weitzman Yuliana boots on eBay or vinted. They’re a pretty classic shape. The sole isn’t rugged but is rubbery so some grip…

How about Dr martens?

In case you weren’t aware, whilst retailers can charge for return postage, legally they have to refund you whatever the initial postage was. They may try to get away with it saying it’s in their terms and conditions etc, but it doesn’t matter and doesn’t override British law on this matter.

Interesting! I’m not sure I can be bothered and if I do like them then £10 postage puts me off anyway!!

I find Pikolinos boots very comfortable- lots of styles to choose from here https://www.pikolinos.com/uk-en/women/boots.html?srsltid=AU7gw4VzTlbJJ5fbHZ-IiqpHqmij4-QNAQQzeAiq0a4k0xY2M5y2xCKs

I like pikolinos too but the boots just aren’t quite right

tried to get the Clarks ones and my Apple Pay won’t work! I feel like fate is telling me not to buy boots
