What shoes would you wear with this brown midi dress?

I have this dress for an event at a local hotel but I am not sure what shoes to wear with it. Any ideas?

Brown heeled elegant pumps. Bling gold is ott. The dress is quite jazzy and doesn’t need bling strappy shoes. If it’s raining there’s obviously an issue with wearing summer shoes in the autumn.

I am not against short boots but long brown suede ones are much better. More elegant. The photo is more rock chic. This dress is not that look.

Matching shoes and bags is so old fashioned.

@dreamingofgoodhair It’s not if the bag is a nice high end one! A bag doesn’t have to be the same make as the shoes!
