Black wide leg trousers

Student DD is about to go on placement in a school and has straight leg black trousers and various tops/blouses.
She wants to also get wide-ish leg (not too wide) black trousers, low maintenance wash and wear. She’s looking for lightweight but not too thin, can have drawstring, elasticated or zip/button waist. Need to come in long length as she’s 5ft 8. Budget under £50. Any Suggestions?

I got mine from M&S, comfy, jersey and elasticated waist, they were around £25

I find Matalan really good for plain black trousers

What age is she with? If infants, make sure that the trousers are stretchy (I second M&S), because she’ll end up down on the floor a lot of the time.

I’ve had mine for years, wash brilliantly and still
look new. Great length. A bit pricey but get 15% off joining up and the quality means they'll last years.
They are worth every penny .

Sorry just saw budget. If you can stretch a bit more honestly they’re fab.

However great they are, if the DD is in primary, the trousers will end up covered in various unpleasant substances - I would never recommend trousers that expensive for teaching (okay for interview, particularly when going for leadership posts)>

The M&S jersey ones are fabulous. Wash and wear although they do tend to become shorter over time. But at £20ish I can afford to replace them annually.
