Mary in burgundy Roland Mouret at the opening of the Danish parliament. The colour is great on her but I am not that keen on peplums.

And Charlotte C looking effortlessly cool in a Chanel trouser suit.

Love Mary’s outfit, she looks very chic.
I am a fan of peplums though, unlike @KillingMeDeftly

Maireas · 06/10/2026 18:34

Charlotte looks tres chic, of course! I love the colour of Mary's suit, the cut is great - apart from the peplum!

All I know about her (other than her collection of jewels) is that some other society dame said she'd rather an open sewer in her dining room than her!

Oh my god.... what did she do? 😱

Mary pretty much always looks amazing. I love a peplum.

smilesy · 06/10/2026 19:24

I like the colour of Mary’s outfit and I think the peplum works. It’s not too “sticky outy” and Mary is not too wide of hip to get away with it. I would look like a table lamp. Charlotte looks tres cool although as you can’t really see the shoes. I’m not too sure about them 😆

justasking111 · 06/10/2026 19:26

When I had a teeny tiny waist and was a size 6. I loved a peplum. Not these days sadly.

Pallisers · 06/10/2026 20:16

I don't always love a peplum but that is a lovely suit on Mary. She looks very 1940s. Charlotte is so like her mother.

She really is.

The lady from Solihull is having a busy couple of weeks. Hot on the heels of hosting the Luxes, Finland is now hosting the Spanish royals. Leti is wearing a lot of diamonds to dinner but sadly none of them are on her head! The diamond bracelets are very impressive though!

Looks interesting, Choux, I think those might be rewears? The evening dress is very elegant.

We've seen this before, but at first I wasn't keen on the blue evening gown, however, looking at it in more detail, I think it's very glamorous and elegant.
Carolina Herrara, a favourite designer - the cut is very clever incorporating the cape, it looks like it moves beautifully and very much suits the occasion.
Brigitte's dress is lovely, a very simple silhouette, brightened by the different textures.
Leti's chignon looks lovely from the back.

I just love that blue gown! I think that’s Letis best evening look ever.

Maireas · 08/10/2026 07:59

Yes, I wasn't sure at first, but these pictures show it better. She looks stunning!

I think its her equivalent of Kates gold dress “wow moment” at the Bond premiere

smilesy · 08/10/2026 08:36

I like how thrilled Leti seems to be with the blue gown! It is lovely. I could actually see Catherine looking amazing in it too.

I’m not sure about the day wear from either of them in Finland, though. Leti’s pink dress looks like maybe cotton or linen as it seems a little creased, and looks a bit lightweight for the weather. The navy blue blanket affair on Mrs IS dress looks
like it’s attacking her. I don’t particularly like the sleeves or the bodice on Mrs IS’ evening gown. I do like Leti’s evening gown. Simple and elegant. Love the diamond earrings too

Banjas · 08/10/2026 08:53

I love Leti’s pink coat.
The pale blue CH dress is gorgeous.

She's worn the navy evening gown a couple of times before, but with a tiara. I think the simplicity of the dress makes the perfect background for showing off a few jewels.

Yes, I always think that's a good call with an evening gown.

Normally, I’d say no to white jeans now but they actually go with the colour palette of the rest of her outfit . The boots let it down I think. So she gets away with it but only just !

Maireas · 08/10/2026 12:13

Does she get an excuse because it's carriage driving, so it's muddy?

Yes. DIL and children wear boots like this because it's not thick deep mud yet but slippery on the surface. Now they're not elegant but eminently practical.

I like white jeans but can't keep them clean. However, Sophie doesn't have to wash them 🤣
