Oh dear God !!!
Sofia’s heels !
Eek how can she walk in them !!!
I love a bow @ChouxBlush
I don’t like CPV’s daytime outfit.

I worry about them wearing those shoes in cobbled situations!

The Swedish day wear really seems to be having an 80s moment.

There's quite a bit of 70s, 80s influence happening at the moment. Laura Ashley type tiered dresses this summer. Bows, shoulder pads, more jewellery. Gold is making a comeback. Pearls . Faux fur coats. It's quite interesting to spot.

The navy Emilia Wickstead dress is a rewear, and I like it, but not so much with the Alexander McQueen jacket which I think is just a bit too long. I'm not a fan of the boots, either. A bit casual.

There are a lot of items competing for attention here - her statement earrings, the necklace, the regimental badge and the random gold button on her jacket. I would have lost the gold button and worn smaller earrings.

Sophie's outfit is a miss for me, especially the pale, slouchy boots, both colour and style seems incongruous with the rest of her clothes. I quite like the blazer - the fit is good and the smidgeon of extra length gives elegance - but not the over-sized button-as-brooch and there's just too much navy blue.

ItsAlwaysTwins · 01/10/2026 22:01

Sophie needs a stylist. She reminds me of several posh women in our village. They throw on weird mismatches of clothes - shoes they’ve had for years, frocks that do nothing for them and jackets that don’t go. What was she thinking with those boots? I know she’s a bit younger than Camilla, but I think she’d look good in similar structured dresses.

Maireas · 01/10/2026 22:02

Yes, I think wearing all navy is fine, but the items fight each other a bit.

That Newmyroyals website jumps all over the place with pop ups I have to keep going back to clear them. Is it just me?

No
I hate it.
It’s really hard to see the actual photographs for me.

There's nothing wrong with Sophie's dress or blazer but they don't go together at all. The necklines clash and they're slightly different shades of navy. Better to opt for a contrasting colour than to look like you've tried to match but failed. There's no excuse for those boots though!

eggandonion · 01/10/2026 22:32

The dress and jacket and boots all look like they were part of separate outfits.
Maybe the jacket would be slightly better left open? But only slightly.

I'm hoping Hola works for everyone.

I think these are Sophie’s boots which she wore last November with a cream and beige outfit. The event seems to be much more casual though. She also wore this camel blazer again this week so must have been looking in her autumn wardrobe for ‘rewears’.

I'm not keen on those boots but they look better with the tonal outfit

The boots look better with the coffee and cream outfit. Charlene looks so much more royal than Albert now!

She looks lovely in those photos, I like her looks at the moment.

Charlene and Sophie are both coming into their own in terms of style imo.

Finally got some good pics of Sophie on Instagram, Royal Fashion Police. The outfit doesn't work together for me. It's the cut of the blazer I think. Sophie has the wrong body shape so it pulls and bunches awkwardly.

I love those boots. I think the first time I noticed them was at the Christmas service a couple of years ago.

Have we seen this already? Quite nautical, but I like it. Favourite Sezane shoes.

I'm very partial to two tone shoes especially navy.

Maireas · 02/10/2026 19:38

Navy and white is classic, and I think the little ruffle detail on Leti's blouse just stops the whole look being a bit too literal. I love those trousers.

Can't bring myself to see slingbacks with crossbars as anything other than ugly, so that double-barred pair I find truly unlovely. If I'm honest, I'd have to say that from an aesthetic POV I think even the little vertical strap supporting the sling bit ruins the elegance of slingbacks, although I can see the practicality.

There seems to be an increasing number of these bondagey looking slingbacks around - I hope it's a short-lived fad.
