I’m going to a wedding celebration, the couple have already got married so I suppose this is the equivalent of their reception… but it’s not traditional, it’s at quite a cool bar (although they d hired it out) and it’s “casual” dress code. The groom is friends with dh and he just said “wear what you like”… which doesn’t help me! 😩
What shall I go for? I’m 5ft 5, size 18/20, slim limbs but big boobs and belly (on medication that has lead to weight gain) dark hair, suit warm autumn colours. I like to wear a wider or barrel trousers to balance out my smaller legs/no hips. I like a kind of sports luxe look if that means anything to anyone. Don’t like to dress “flattering” just because I’m plus size, I want to look a bit effortlessly cool if that’s at all possible 😂 I’m early 40s.
I need inspo on the whole shebang! Footwear, accessories etc but I do have some slouchy suede pointy boots with a kitten heel I love and a new leather chocolate brown funnel neck leather jacket. These are items I reckon I could work into an outfit.
i think I’m mostly struggling with wedding and casual… which seem like opposites to me!
