What do you think is the best high coverage foundation with serious longevity that looks good/not cakey? I don't care whether expensive or cheap. Thank you

I love the l'oreal true match.

The estee lauder went shit.

Not full coverage, but I love the westman atelier one that's recently come out.

I wear Chanel Les Beiges, and love it. I tried it first at their makeup counter at John Lewis.

The new YSL sponge compact is very pigmented and it would be high coverage

M Asam (QVC) serum foundation.
It doesn't move and I have to take it off with cleanser.
Depends on your age though.
Estee lauder double wear and Mac studio fix don't budge either
I'm a former make up artist back in the day.

I second the above recommendation for Estee Lauder Double Wear. I've got really oily skin that most make up slides off within half an hour. Double Wear actually stays on all day & is full coverage & buildable. I've been using it for decades!

I like IT Cosmetics, you could also think about using a good primer to help it stay on longer?

HappyNooYear · 25/09/2026 18:15

Actually IT cosmetics is absolutely what you need. Does not budge.

Clinique Beyond perfecting

Estee Lauder Double wear changed their make up and I found it awful recently

Laura Geller baked powder. It goes on really subtly but you can build it up. I've tried many liquid foundations and they either were too masky or too liquidy and sank into my pores. The LG is definitely the one I've stuck with, I'm 45 with combination skin if that helps.

Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation. It glows, covers EVERYTHING, last all day and doesn't need powder.

Dior Backstage Foundation.

After the DW changed formula and was no longer for me, I tried many others before coming across Sculpted by Aimee Satin Silk. It is on a par with the original double wear in my opinion!

Victoria Beckham foundation drops. They are ££££ but I love them even though I didn’t want to!
