Levi Ribcage Flare Jeans

A question about sizing. I already have the stonewash blue colour in a 31, 30 and they’re a good fit.

I want to order the black but have read that it comes up slightly smaller in the waist (something to do with the dying process?). So, my question is, has anyone else experienced this? I’m wondering if I need to order a 32 waist 🤔

TIA 😊

I have lots of ribcage wide and flare. The white ones are much smaller than the denim. I would say an inch smaller. All of mine are second hand but I don't find they shrink with wash so, now you are asking, this may well be the reason.

Thanks for responding. Do you have the black in the Ribcage flare? If yes, do you find them tighter on the waist than the blue denim?

I’d love them in white! But can only see the cord version in white.

Hope its okay to hop on your thread as i was going to ask about sizing for these jeans also. I am in between size 14 and size 16 uk jeans and have never bought them so unsure what to go for...

Mine were second hand on Vinted so they must have done them at some point. Mine are wide not flare. They are really nice. There are quite a few on Vinted if you can find the right size.

I haven't got them in black but I wouldn't be surprised if they are a bit tighter in black. A bra specialist told me once that black bras always come up tighter than white in the same size, something to do with the dye. So...i would order a size up if I were you.

I have them in light blue and black. I wouldn't say the black is tighter but the material is heavier and more cumbersome. I have definitely noticed that when I cross my legs, the hem rides up to somewhere around mid calf which is not a good look and definitely doesn't happen with the blue, despite same waist and length measurements. I suspect the dye process makes them stiffer and less 'drapey' iyswim, which is a bit of a blow as it was the shape and 'flexibility' I loved about the blues.

Cheers. I’ll have a look on Vinted

Well I ordered the black in a size up (W32) because of what I’d read online about the black coming up smaller.

Nope, they do not. They’re too big so have had to return for my usual size, so ignore my earlier message 🤷‍♀️😂
