Not sure if it’s too much

I love it! It could be dressed up or down, classy. Where is it from?

thegirlsjustwannadance · 18/09/2026 23:32

Next but by friends like these. I really like it but just wasn’t sure if it’s right for the occasion.

Is it your birthday? Or a guest? Where's the party and what kind of venue?

It's a lovely dress.

spinningplatez · 19/09/2026 08:04

It’s gorgeous and not too formal. What is it made of?

Bobbybobbins · 19/09/2026 08:06

I like it and think it’s really versatile

CaptainCalm · 19/09/2026 08:06

It’s a lovely dress, good for a party and very versatile. Of course it depends on the party, pub lunch in the countryside not so much, but for anything that’s actually a party or smart dinner would be perfect.

DidYeAye16 · 19/09/2026 08:07

What kind of venue is the party at? If it's a nice venue it's lovely. If its a bowling club or something (which I've been to a few 40ths at), it's a bit formal.

SunshineSpice · 19/09/2026 08:08

It’s nice and I wouldn’t describe it as formal. What type of party?

Justyouwaitandseeagain · 19/09/2026 10:01

Really depends on the venue, location and the type of party but it is the type of dress which could be dressed up or down so I think you could make it work for most situations.

HambleTheDoll · 19/09/2026 10:02

Not formal. I’d call it Nightie Chic! I like it

thegirlsjustwannadance · 19/09/2026 13:25

Thanks all. It’s in a hotel, a nice one. Probably similar or slightly less nice than a Hilton hotel.

Material is satin.

Not my birthday. Just a family member but not really close

I think it looks like a late 1970s nightie

squashyhat · 19/09/2026 14:10

I think the red is nicer

Is a bad way I presume? 😂

If the party is a slumber party. Looks like a nightie to me. A lovely nightie; but a nightie nonetheless.

thegirlsjustwannadance · 18/09/2026 23:28

Not sure if it’s too much

It's beautiful.

RefundOrNot · 19/09/2026 22:45

More suited to a bougie funeral than a party

Buzzlightfear · 19/09/2026 22:50

I think it's lovely and not at all too formal for what you've described (also as a child of the nineties those saying it looks like a nightie is just a compliment to me😄)

ItsAlwaysTwins · 19/09/2026 22:54

Too much? It’s a plain black dress. What on earth could it be ‘too much’ for?

I meant the stain and the lace. Is it too dressy?
