Help finding earrings…

I have these earrings from Cos. They are perfect for my short, brown, bobbed hair. But… the fastening sits at the top of the earring and it means that they drag on my lobes and look awful.

Please can you help me find something silver or silver coloured to be shiny and beautiful in my ears? I have will be wearing a brown funnel neck Massimo Dutti jacket.

Here are the earrings I can’t quite make work, and I will add photos of others I am looking at that might sit higher up in my ear…

The Shein ones look good but I am not clicking on that site. And how about the Etsy ones? The free people example feels a bit big?

To quote Star Wars… MN meet of vipers, you’re my only hope. Guide me in the ways of The Force.

Thankyou in advance. Big love.

Have you tried these earrings with one of the more supportive backing styles? Butterflies aren't good to offset the weight. That might be sufficient for you?

@owlpassport Two issues with my original earrings. First up, they are too heavy and make my ear lobe pull down and get mis shapen. Second, the stem that goes through my ear is at the top of the earrings so they sit too low.

I like these hoops. Never thought of this type before. Thank you!

@RiverRedI like that cuff. Might get one. Thank you!

@Ilovemyshed Love them but realise on seeing them I want the dome shape rather than circular.

@user593 The bottom half of the Arket pair are locally. I think they’d bring my ear lobe down though.

If you see anything else please let me know. Work gig is this Wednesday not the week after so I am now googling everything! Thank you for the help.

If nothing else I now know exactly what I want, and can send DH back to silver jewellery making class as his Christmas present with a clear brief for me!

I know exactly what you mean op. There are so many earrings in this style at the moment and they are lovely but unless you have tiny earlobes, they always hang too low, especially if they’re heavy which a lot of them are. I’d love to find some in this style with the post in a different position

Have you tried earring lifters?

@minnowonthesayThank you! Ordered on Amazon. Arrived tonight. And am now in my PJs trotting about the house testing them out. So far, so good!

I think I will still order the others so I can have some that sit higher in my ear lobe. But this is a brilliant solution to keep these going. Thank you!

You wouldn’t think it was hard to take a photo of your ear but not your face or other identifying home features, would you? But it is! Here’s the earring in situ and how it looks with the clasp on the back. Hope this brilliant solution is useful to other people too!

😂 earrings zhuzh up anything, even pj’s! Glad they helped. My ears were pierced when I was 2 weeks old with a needle and thread, so they’re wonky, hence the lifters help. On the plus side, no matter how long I don’t wear earrings for, they’ll never close up!
