Are Birkenstock Bostons worth buying this late in the year?

Behind the times I know! However Birkenstock Bostons have caught my eye and I am wondering whether it is a waste to buy some this late in the year, do people wear them through winter?

What kind of socks do you wear with them? I have a pair of taupe Bostons that I love.

The last time I mentioned wearing Birkenstocks with socks on here, a few years ago, I got my arse handed to me on a plate.

All the youngsters wear them with socks and I don’t think it looks too daft as fashions go.

I’ve got some Nike socks in browns and cream. Or some Nordic socks.

Do they come up wide? I'm eyeing up a pair and got a cheap m&s pair before I committed and they are so wide they flip off my feet. I've got two pairs of Birkenstock sandals and I have to have them on the tightest hole too so don't want to invest and then flip off

Are you not planning to wear them next year? You might get them on sale now, if you can find your size that is.

My Boston’s have just arrived, I was going to start a thread! My Birkenstocks became the only shoe I wore in the summer so I got a pair for autumn. I’m not sure yet!

Yes, I have wide feet and they are perfect for me, I think they do come in ‘narrow’ though

I wear them in winter with slouchy socks and barrel legs. I feel trendy 😂

Same but Arizona not Madrid for my summer choice! Only wear Bostons autumn & winter with socks…(the Birkenstock socks are nice)
