People returning items that have been worn

I know this is common but what is bad is when this is not spotted by the retailer and the item gets sent to the next customer.

I just received a scarf I had ordered from Sézane and I immediately picked up an odd smell on it. It could be vape or perfume but someone has clearly worn it and not just tried it on. I will have to return it and hope I am not accused of wearing it!

has anyone else had this problem?

I received some white tracksuit trousers from Marks with fanny stains on the inside - obviously no pants worn and a big coffee stain on the front.
I did complain because it was absolutely disgusting. I'm not talking about a small mark it was smeared all over the crotch inside.

I bought some trousers from Mint Velvet. Water marks all over them and creased. Obviously worn with tags and something spilt on them. I still had to pay the postage.

Make sure you add a note in the package, I wouldn’t risk just sending it back without one.

I bought new handbag and it had credit cards/ driving licence in the inside pocket!
I sent it back to the retailer.

I bought a near-viral black broderie anglaise dress from marks a few years ago. I had to wait and get notified when it was back in stock. It arrived with egg stains on the front. So obviously worn and returned. I wanted it, so I washed it and wore it. Didn’t really suit me.

Epic fail from the previous buyer!
