Work outfits capsule planning for AW

I’ve decided my wide legs aren’t quite right aside from one pair of thick cotton so am planning new outfits for office 3 days a week. Got 2 or 3 ok autumnal dresses for work brogues but after a new oaor of those or recommendations on any (non totally flat as plantar fasciitis pud paid to baller flats ) shoes to wear with
Plus I want trousers and possibly knitted short sleeve tops to wear in maybe burgundy /pink/ berry and brown shades for mix and match almost uniform type outfits.
I hate all my work clothes so am primed and ready to refresh and got £100 m as a voucher and seen some knitted tees there but not seen any trousers that grab me yet.
my office is cold, smart casual with some women in smarter dresses but most in trousers, blouses and jackets or knitted tees, wide legs or for the younger ones , more fitted with ballet flats or in summer the mesh type shoes or chunky loafers.
im 50. Size 14, short at 5’2. Pear/ Apple so big belly and average boobs but a bit of a waist and ok legs. I like a skirt and tights and boots combo too actually so maybe I get two skirts, two trousers and a selection of tops. And for warm what can I get ? Jackets in linen and cotton are not nice layers but I don’t really suit a super fitted jacket as bottom heavy but also got belly.
I can sense someone is going to send me to JL personal shopper but I need to shop savvy on the ££ front.

if you got this far well done !
I want to know :
-how can I not look dated in smart casual office
— what shoes or trainers work for AW with trousers whilst not crippling me
— anyone who’s built their AW whose ideas I can steal

Plan is roughly to buy a few capsule pieces, berry colours d browns (redhead cool leaning but suit these colours ) but what ?

How not to look dated?

I think you should get some good footwear first.
Trainers are sleeker this season, more like bowling shoes, but still with arch support - tan would look good with your wide legs.
Boots - I’d get knee high sock style to wear with midi dresses, skirts and cropped wide legs trousers
Shoes - I’d buy the Vionics dolly shoes, they are supportive too, you’ll then be able to wear barrel leg, cropped and straight leg trousers.
As for jackets, I’d go for shorter faux suede jacket - the Roman one below comes in tan, burgundy, brown and khaki

@MsAlignment not sure what you mean exactly but thanks for the link. Maybe stating the obvious that I need to look what’s out there but this board is invaluable for distilling it for folks like me.
@minnowonthesaywow thanks v much. This is a brilliant start !

Feet first. Look at Fitflops for smart, comfy and arch supporting. I just went all spendy and bought their ots as I know I'm gonna live in them! But have their 'flats' too.

You asked how not to look dated, presumably on a modest budget - so I suggested somewhere. The Uniqlo 10th Anniversary collection would fulfil exactly that brief. Nothing more to it than that. 😄

@MsAlignment I’m used to there being vipers sorry 🤣. I might go to a real life Uniqlo when I visit my DC at uni ! Thank you !!🙏
