I have crap, sparce, very uneven eyebrows! Im not sure if my eyes are a little uneven as well, or just the brows!
Any advice? I use makeup to fill in and tweak the shape slightly, but looking for something better, really!

Eyebrow advice needed, please

I got mine tattooed on and I do NOT regret it. I got a hyperealistic spine on the brow to complement my natural brow.

RowsOfFlowers · 13/09/2026 21:56

I think you need semi permanent brows

EleanorMc67 · 14/09/2026 00:19

What eyebrow make-up do you currently use, OP? I don't think your brows are that bad at all - they're a good shape that echoes your eye shape. Yes they're a bit thin - but give it time, Greta Garbo brows will no doubt be in again soon!

I haven't yet seen anyone with microbladed brows where it looks completely natural. And it fades with time.

I used to have quite thick brows that were naturally a good shape & needed little doing to them. They've thinned with age & also gone a little bit patchy. I use two products on them.

Firstly I use a tinted brow mascara with microfibres (Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel). I apply one coat in the direction of growth, let it dry then another against the direction of growth. Any paler hairs get evened out by the tint, & the microfibres thicken the existing hairs, even tiny nearly invisible ones.

Then I use a fine-tipped brow pencil to fill in gaps with fine short strokes, & strengthen the overall shape of my brows. Currently I'm using NYX Micro Brow Pencil. It lasts well (although I also use a setting spray over my make-up, as I have oily skin).

I agree with @EleanorMc67. I don't see anything wrong with your brows, @OnlySkittlesHaveTheAnswer .

I realise that thick, obvious eyebrows seem to be in fashion at the moment, but that won't always be the case.

Mostly too thick & too obvious (from one who loves full bushy brows!).

Yes, I see a lot of that on FB ads for salons round my way.

Xanhi · 14/09/2026 05:36

They don't look uneven to me. Remember when people look at you, your face will generally be in motion, not frozen like a photo and will look different. I wouldn't get anything permanent as eyebrow fashions change.

CortieTat · 14/09/2026 06:00

They look fine to me, a bit on the thin side but not uneven. I know filling them with a pencil takes time but that’s what I would keep doing if I were you.

I had mine microbladed 5 years ago and this year, finally, after being done with having DC I could get them removed. The removal is not easy, takes time and can cost way more than the brows. I was lucky mine faded but sometimes people are left with vividly yellow brows.

I don’t know a single person in real life who looks good with tattooed brows - they look fine for a year or two and then turn into a solid block of dye which also changes colour over the years. I have several friends who had their brows tattooed, we all believed it was semi-permanent. They all regret having them done and some are in the process of removal.

ProfessorofDarkArts · 14/09/2026 06:55

Mine are similar but I’m learning to live with them as I don’t trust anything permanent will stay looking good.

I’ve probably tried every brow product there is! I’d recommend Maybelline Tattoo Brow to increase the overall shape then Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brow to define individual hairs and if you need to add any more shape Urban Decay Brow Blade which has both a very thin brush and a softer pencil. Finish with a clear brow gel brushed through to soften the edges.

I have had them tinted at a salon which looks good but doesn’t last so it’s cheaper to do at home - messy and a bit of a faff but gets all those thin fine hairs so does make your brows look thicker overall.

I also had hyper realistic brows tattooed on and love them. They need touched up every 2-3 years. They aren’t like HD brows, they look exactly like my own brows and you can see the individual hair strokes. Means I do nothing with them now except a little tidy up of stray hairs every 2-3 weeks.

Melarus · 14/09/2026 07:51

I think your eyebrows look fine OP. They're really nice! Don't do anything drastic

PersephoneParlormaid · 14/09/2026 07:54

I think they are fine too.

NatalieH2537 · 14/09/2026 08:25

What’s wrong wit your eyes?

Ineedanewsofa · 14/09/2026 08:28

Second votes for Maybelline tattoo brow and NYX pencil, sort my patchy brows right out 😊

PlantainArama · 14/09/2026 11:54

Your brows are a nice shape that work well on your face. I wouldn't mess that up too much....

Two easy things to try: The ordinary do a growth serum which worked on my eyelashes BUT only if applied twice daily. I assume it could work on brows too as long as you are disciplined enough to keep it up! (It's not the same as the UK lash type serums which have some concerns I think).

The other thing is dye. You might find you have more hairs there than you think but some are fine and colourless. Best tip from MN is just for men beard dye. One pack is a few quid, incredibly easy (no need for barrier cream etc it washes off your skin and if you dye an unintended hair just pluck it) and does loads of applications.

CortieTat · 14/09/2026 15:36

I strongly recommend visiting two places before making any decisions about putting a permanent tattoo on your face - two Reddit communities - microblading and microblading removal. They are full of pictures of real people with tattooed brows so you can see for yourself how they look.

searchforthesun · 14/09/2026 15:53

Can anyone recommend anywhere for the hyper realistic brows please? Happy to travel for a recommendation

Boxfulloftoys · 14/09/2026 15:58

Nano brows.

OnlySkittlesHaveTheAnswer · 14/09/2026 18:16

I just think one sits much higher then the other!
Thanks for the comments though - you've made me feel a but better about my weird little brows!
I do dye them myself, but obviously that only catched the hairs that already exist. I use a bit of powder and pencil- will try out a few of the products suggested here. Thanks!
