Waterproof coat

I'm in need of a proper waterproof coat for the school run and dog walks as my last waterproof coat is no longer. Need it mid-thigh to knee length. What do you recommend?

Not a coat but the DryRobe rainproof poncho is very good.

Seasalt Janelle. I’ve never found anything that compares.

I bought a plant hunter last year from Seasalt and I love it. Unfortunately I’ve put on some weight and can’t do it up. So I’ve either got to lose a stone or buy a new coat before the weather gets bad (south of England, I have time!). Following for suggestions

Second this. People here say it's frumpy but I do not consider it more frumpy than any other raincoat. You can get big discounts.

I get regatta coats from eBay. They are waterproof and windproof, the reason is they are much cheaper on there. Last one I got was £10 as the lady had not sent the coat back in time.

Totally agree @OsfameronTanamorilthere is no law that says it has to be the only coat you own. The OP wants it for dog walking, there’s a limit to how stylish anyone is when out with a muddy spaniel.

It’s the only coat I’ve ever had that is genuinely waterproof.
