Is there such a thing as a stylish wellie for dog walking?

Needs to be practical yes but I’m also rather fond of stopping for a pint in the pub mid walk. Anyone got a suggestion for a naice style of wellington boot?

Kind of boggy in the winter where I moved to last year and I’m dog walking so probably wellies rather than waxed leather

Merry people are lovely but expensive currently there is great ones on joules that look just like chelsea boots for half the price of merry people wellies

Le Chameau...I have a pair I bought in an emergency at Badminton Horse Trials 30 years ago. Worn virtually daily, and they're still going strong.

Another vote for Merry People, very comfortable and waterproof! Check some of the stockists as you should be able to get a new user discount.

I wear leather ‘country boots’ to walk my dog, those hybrid welly/riding boots ones, I got mine from Aldi and they are still warm and waterproof after 5+ years of wet winter walks. (I do use wax boot polish on them) I don’t really care how ‘stylish’ they are, they are just warmer and more comfortable than wellies!

Not Wellington but I do my dog walking in my fairfax and favor explorers.

My most stylish friend, who is also a farmer's daughter, absolutely rocks a Dunlop. Really, cheap n cheerful is the way to go with wellies imo.

If you're wanting something more budget friendly, Regatta Harper. Or Superga Alpina if you're looking for more of a boot that will withstand muddy fields.

Came on to say this. I wear mine all day every day at work for the best part of three seasons of the year and they are very comfortable too.

I have two pairs of Merry People but I find they come up really small despite going half a size up . I also have some Barebacks .

Le Chameau. I walk miles and miles in mine, every day. I have a lined pair for winter and a lighter pair for summer.

Agree with Le Chameau. Mine are lined, keep my feet warm and are very comfortable. They are also very well made and should get many years of use from them.

I have some Verbenas which I think are a Spanish brand.

Aigle and Le Chameau are popular in the country/farming world (because they are usually much more comfortable than wearing steel toe-caps all day, so they'll be fine for dog-walking). I have a pair of each. Ariat is a popular brand with the horsey folk, but I haven't tried their wellies yet.

So I have bought the Le Chameau with the fur lining (as I never wear socks). Thank you for all the help and advice but also the pooch wellies and a sprinkle of Billy C 😊

I have these glittery wellies which are probably not 'stylish' per se, but they cheer me up on miserable wet days.
