How to make winter sports pitch outfits feel more put together

I spend a lot of the autumn/winter months at the side of sports pitches, as many mumsnetters also do I’m sure.

What I would really like is to still feel nice in an outfit whilst remaining warm. I have a good warm waterproof coat, that’s not the issue, but just want a way to make a jeans and jumper type outfit feel more put together. I have some good quality wool knitwear from Cos, John Lewis, Uniqlo etc. Open to a few more stylish purchases though. Any ideas for accessories or perhaps more stylish waterproof boots please? 🙏🏻

Surely it’s all just covered by a big coat anyway?!

Yes it is under a coat at times but there is the rest of the day, before matches or afterwards? And regardless of being under a coat I personally would like to feel better than just a thrown on jeans and jumper if I can?

I have fur/fleece line ankle wellies from the White Company that I keep in the car to change into for winter pitch side standing to see DN. Granted it isn’t every weekend for me but I feel like I can then change into my leather boots or trainers and I look tidy enough for brunch afterwards or just popping to M&S.
