My DIY refilled Liberty and DIY FAC are both looking pretty good round about now!

Just saw the Elle being unboxed by ReallyRee and now I want that one. Those of you who have bought the Elle, what are your thoughts on it?

I’ve been lurking for a while, thank you all for the threads and helping feed my (in)decision 😆 After many conversations with google AI, I ordered JLP BAC and am very pleased with it. I’m thinking of getting the M&S one for DD18 and swapping out some DoDs for other treats she’d like, most of the DoDs for her are things I’ll like 🫣 I had a look at a few others for her but surprisingly, I think M&S is the best option.

DH was shocked that unboxings exist on YouTube - he assumed you buy a calendar, put it away until December and don’t spoil the surprise. So I had to be a bit secretive later the same day after JLP arrived and I wanted to go through and excitedly open all the drawers! It’s now safely out of reach(ish) until December…

I've bought this too. I've not tried it yet. I also bought the Lisa Eldridge from Liberty bac too 😊

@juicyjellybaby slight problem with replacing items in the ASOS box - they are all sealed boxes packed in on top of one another! Still possible to open and replace and seal back up, but a bit more faff! I need to go through it when I have more time. Unless there is a list somewhere of what products are in each number, I’ll have to open and re seal each one.

@Annamarieboo I have the Elle one. I haven’t had a proper look through yet as needed to be quick and then hide it away before my husband saw it! What I saw was good though.

Was the box still sealed or was it open, I’ve checked there is something in each drawer but haven’t opened any sealed boxes.

It's very creamy and shiny. Similar to Dior Glass Addict imo. Nice shade too - a sort of pinky brown.

It was in cellophane. I just opened mine to check and it's fine.

There seem to be a theme of missing items from the advent calendars on this thread - is that a common thing (my first year on these threads - I don't use make up myself but bought the mid-range Sephora calendar last year for my nieces and they were well received, so I am lurking here for any bargains (ha!!!))?

I’ve finally stopped dithering and ordered Selfridges.

Will now try and hang on and see what discounts appear before ordering any more (hopefully one of the Boots ones).

Just checked everything is full. Managed to spill some Gong on myself as the spray but came off when I took the lid off. I like it.

Luckily I was holding it upright or I’d have spilled the entire bottle.

I had a look at the Mario palette today in Sephora and I was sold. It’s very neutral colours with a few with a bit of sparkle which is just up my streets. It is a browns, cream colour pallet. It’s a very suits everyone colour palette.

@AdventAdoration check the Elizabeth Arden website. I ordered their £90 mystery box and got

Definitely go wild with the Elizabeth Arden treats you can enjoy! They might not be your thing, but I'd recommend some white company cashmere socks for recovery!

That's what sealed it for me. I've looked at that palette on and off since it was released plus at £235 with £20 back in points it's doesn't seem too bad (she says ignoring the other advents she's bought 😂)

I’m currently on holiday so for now I’m totally ignoring all the previous advent calendar orders I’ve made because I’ve not been home to received all the boxes so for me they currently don’t exist. My DS told me there is a blockade of boxes to welcome us home! 😂😂😂😂

Finally caught up with the thread. I am starting to feel that all of these advents are more hassle than they’re worth, items missing, date issues etc. I hate the fact we have to check everything, we should just be able to open them in December with no issues. I have checked my HBAC tonight and now feel like I may have to recheck some things.
I’m also still waiting for my HFAC so will now have to go through that, if I ever receive it that is!
