Yeah, the medik8 cream is £82. Spacenk replaced my lip liner last year, no questions asked. Harrods sent me the money to replace my Laura Mercier eyeshadow stick. I'm not expecting the same response from cult beauty.

Whereas they've sent me the code from the gift card via a message. Clearly just depends who you get. I'm going to spend it soon though - there's absolutely nothing I need, but I don't have any faith that it will actually work!

Better news for me re the dried out yet fully sealed (?!) MZ soothe and smooth eye cream from last year’s Harrods BAC.

I opened it the other day and was horrified to find it all dried up . I emailed MZ customer service not really thinking I’d hear back. Got an email right away saying they will send a replacement right out. Pleasantly surprised!

Seeing as everyone else is naming their ChatGPT, I've decided mine is Úna - slightly old-fashioned, extremely sensible except after a sherry or two, and can be persuaded of the merits of buying another AC if it really works although will roll her eyes at me doing it.

Anyway, I've been back and forth as to whether I should get BT or not and the conclusion we have come to is if the perfume sizes are decent, go for it and the keep it for next year except for the retinoid and the facial oil. And if I happen to open it earlier, well, that's just the way things happen.

I kind of like Úna.

How exciting ! I didn't know there was such a thread I'm new to the world of beauty advent calenders.

Last year I got dd18 an anthropology one and I was so impressed and she loved it !
I got younger DD a Nivea one.

This year I'm thinking of going for athroplogy again and a boots lux one which I will share between myself and younger DD ( the hair care and shampoo ).

I don't use them as an advent calender I gave them as a present at Xmas day.

Has anyone had boots lux now or in previous years please ?
And will athroplogy be good again ?

It's not luxury or particularly exciting but I got the L'oreal one last year and actually used all the products and/or gave them to DD. I'd buy again. The M andS one from a couple of years back still has things I have never used.

Hi sorry not caught up with the thread as been at work. Those of you that have ordered the space nk and possibly Harrods, what are your thoughts on the Sephora. I was going to get liberty until the contents was revealed, am member of beauty drop and I’m not keen on the liberty calendar. Was thinking about Sephora but not sure if the make up would suit me, I’m in my 40s

I’ve ordered spaceNK and Harrods and Cult and waiting on BT. I think Sephora clearly wins the makeup game, but it’s not enough for me to order so I’m giving it a skip. I already went a bit OTT 😬🙈

i am an advent regular, I think it was last year I discussed Switzers(sp?) and Brown Thomas. Nostalgia! This year I am Frankensteining. Don’t care that I’ve made that a verb but I hope I have my spelling right! Hoping to be in hosp in December, so will save it for thr first month I am home. Look away if you’re (can’t think of the word. Old fashioned for “triggered”)!! aswill have truly impressive scars to head/faceand black eyes etc. sadly skincare, candles, hair stuff, bath stuff and hard foods off the table. Perhaps lip balm, hand cream, perfume samples. That sort of thing. tempted to do scratchcard in every drawer but that’s prob a bad idea!

Just realised my Frankensteined will cost a load, as I like Elizabeth Arden lip balm and the French hand cream that has almonds, if anyone can remember the name? A sort of shape like a couple of triangles to the lid.

@Ilovecats127 i have ordered the SNK and I am really tempted by the Sephora but some of the makeup is stopping me too. There is so many lip products I won’t use especially the red lipstick and I know everyone wants the make up by Mario palette but I don’t wear eye shadow

Lumene’s calendar was a thing of beauty last year. I can’t throw it away, it’s so pretty!
I remember buying it in the first week for £40, used it for Jadvent.

Bought Sephora when I got home from work today and caught up with all the posts on here. Happy to report my CB special edition is intact. I bought before the discount code was known about and paid full price. I wonder if pilfering occurred on the discounted calendars 🤔. Had a problem with a CB edit once/ was missing the item I’d bought it for (KS goat milk cleanser) and they only offered me £5 points in compensation as it was one item out of 9 and £45.

I think the Sephora BAC is great for make up whatever your age. That's why I'm ordering it to stock up for the year ahead. Harrods is great for skin care.

Well if that's the case, that's really shitty to let people open their calendars in December to an empty drawer. Better to either give people the choice, cancel the order or even better, don't make it so promo codes can be used with it 😐🤣

In better news, BT have confirmed that we can have our BACs shipped to Parcel Flow. Parcel flow say that they link up the parcels by using names and info on account. I'd prefer a unique ID no, but I'm fairly confident that no one with my name will be ordering a BT BAC to go through them. For BT orders, they always use Royal Mail.

Thank you. sorry you’ve had this and the issues with Cult. Have just checked mine and it’s the same 😡. I’ve already contacted them about the fact one of the numbers is on the wrong side of the drawer so when you close it you can’t see it, so I’ve just whatsappd them this as well, not acceptable.. also waiting for Harrods to come back in my leaking Gucci gloss and broken perfume, contacted them last Thursday and called yesterday and still no reply. Not happy. What is up with all of these companies?!
ETA I don’t go through all
products to check expiry dates. We shouldn’t have to should we? I’m so cross
